Relating the concept to a simpler proximity-based example and noise filtering really helped shift perspective for me, and even helped me re-frame it in terms of neuro.
As a follow up on my last tweet, why aren't more virtual worlds letting us do what #secondlife did in 2007, and still does? I want to make friendly chatbots in VR!

Based on the recommendation by @Plinz the copy I ordered came in just today- I absolutely love it, a real treasure! I'll definitely have to write more later but my sincerest gratitude to the author for writing it.
