Making GS1 IDs part of the Web: every barcode can be a gateway to multiple sources of info. Like so many, I'm moving off this once good platform

Woooah… this is a very smart/evil scam. The web savvy will immediately spot the dodgy email address, but I bet plenty won’t.

"According to the European Commission, only 56% of consumers trusted product sustainability claims in 2023, a drop of 5 percentage points from two years earlier". Transparency is critical, but often missing. 👀 Learn how the Digital Product Passport (#DPP) initiative, supported by @gs1 Digital Link and @origin_trail Decentralized Knowledge Graph (#DKG) bridge the trust gap and promote sustainable consumption. 👇💡

For anyone still inclined to shrug off modern AI as techbro stochastic parrotry it’s worth working through these interactions to get a sense for the grasp of language & everyday detail in these things. Whether or not they’re also infallible all-knowing oracles must be separated.
Write me a corporate memo covering the following points, integrating them together in a good way: -Forgive me for the murder I committed -We will hit quarterly steel crumpet goals -The fish people are here to evaluate our offer. Make sure to speak to them only in fish. Include some fish people sayings -Do not touch the vortex in the break room. Explain why. -We have pivoted from a NFT company to an artisanal pickle shop. Give details about their similarities. -Anyone not acknowledging Pluto is a planet will be fired. There will be a series of tests.

I'm delighted to see this outstanding book get such recognition. If you haven't read it, do you yourself a favour and get a copy. Ideally from an independent book shop. My signed first edition is being kept very safe.
Many congratulations to Martin MacInnes on winning this year’s Arthur C Clarke award with In Ascension! It is a mind-expanding, marvellous novel, a bestseller in the bookshop, and a greatly deserving winner. Below are photos from some of Martin’s visits to the bookshop! 😊

Do you, or someone you know of, have a negative view of Verifiable Credentials? I don't mean the specifics of the tech, especially signing methods, I mean the overall concept. Supporters are easy to find. I'm looking for a detractor. Thanks

Can a brand tell you how much of their plastic is recycled? Can you show improvement, reaching KPIs etc. Great, passionate talk from Alice at the @PolytagUk Ecotrace Live event.

If you want to make your plastic bottles from your own plastic bottles, you need to know where they are. @PolytagUk does this with @gs1 DataMatrix using UV ink

The web works because it is a collaboration. No one has full control. We wrote an open letter to the @UN: the proposed Global Digital Compact threatens this collaborative evolution. Creating a central point of control? NOT GOOD. 1/ @antonioguterres @UNTechEnvoy #OpenInternet
