i definitely believe in the ethos of making your own tools (and sharing them) but i think there's hidden dangers in blindly getting onboard the "vibecoded VST" bandwagon that people need to keep in mind
you may argue, "well if the plugin breaks, just ask AI to fix your problems!" and sure, that MAY very well work. but even so i don't think this is what most artists/producer expect to sign up for when purchasing music software
very important advice for newer FL producers: get in the habit of using Ctrl+N INSTEAD of Ctrl+S. Ctrl+N will create a new, separate project file with a number at the end of the name. this way it will be much harder to accidentally overwrite projects and lose data
i seem to recall an old rumor that a bunch of compa tunes once leaked because some guy stole dubplates out of joe nice's crate after he stepped away for a few minutes and ripped them behind his back. is there any truth to this mission impossible ass story?
for the confused: i'm using a modified GBA emulator with a hacky bridge that reads the game's music sequence data as it is played and write it directly into the currently open FL studio instance's process memory, with a custom VST that actually pulls each instrument from the ROM
this tune is 13 YEARS OLD and still obliterates 95% of the dubstep i hear on a daily basis. listen to curzed and you will become a better producer by mere proximity to such a legend soundcloud.com/andyskitz/evi…
