I generally stay away from MedTwitter because of too much ego flying around. @drifeleah is one of those few HCPs I follow here and I do appreciate her enthusiasm for proper health communication. That is the only reason I decided to engage her vacillations about a straightforward question put to her as a medical doctor: whether it is right to say ‘pregnancy is a death sentence.’ I respectfully pointed to her that it betrays the principle of health risk communication to communicate to patients in such manner. This is why she went on to block me, lol. Contrary to what she is trying hard to portray, it is completely unethical for doctors to communicate health risk in such a manner. She very well knows she can’t defend that in any board exam or workplace based assessment. I did not speak about what patients can say about their own experience, but about how HCPs should help patients understand their risks. To insist HCPs should communicate health risk sensitively, in a way that doesn’t contribute to health anxiety, is not minimising, dismissing or invalidating patient’s experience. It is stewarding your words properly as a professional. I do hope that when you have had the moment to cool off and reflect, you can better evaluate whether you have been consistent with your own principles.

Motherhood is not a problem or sickness or suicide mission!!! Everything isn't gender war!!! You all badly want to push the negative side of pregnancy and most of you talking have never been pregnant before. Do you know how sweet it is to feel your baby kicking? Do you know how joyous it is when you hear your baby's heartbeat during antenatal Have you gone for scan and they show you your baby moving? Do you know how sweet that is? Is there any aspect of life that doesn't have challenges? May God bless everyone who desires to get pregnant and may pregnancy be far from those who considers it a death sentence 📌
Vasectomy is not a death sentence for Men. Dear men, get that vasectomy today!!! 💓

The 11th teacher Interesting take
Oh and my final take, I believe pregnancy is a pathology sha. Something cannot be capable of causing so many disease conditions and not be a pathology in itself.

Just 3months in a pediatric private centre, I couldn’t deal with the fact that I’m gradually falling in love with the specialty that I had to resign. God abeg, no be me be this.
Pediatrics I love them but I'd rather specialize in sharwama selling.

Where did we get the ethics in Nigeria that allow restaurants to refuse hungry people food simply because they can’t afford to pay? Why should a human being be left hungry simply because they have no money? Since when did money become more important than basic human decency?

BREAKING: Nigeria: A Christian mother, Liatu Samuel Dawa, has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for the “crime” of evangelism. Liatu shared her faith with a woman in Borno State who later converted to Christianity. For that, Liatu is now behind bars and her family in hiding after Muslims threatened their lives. The judge, A.B. Kumdila, imposed the harsh sentence. This ruling is a gross miscarriage of justice. The disgraceful action must be overturned and Liatu immediately returned safely to her family. Free Liatu Dawa.

What happens if men stop impregnating women? You’re sick
What will men do if women stop giving birth to male children and allow only female children to enter this world, eventually ending the male population? There’s nothing you can do.

You can quote the chief, I want to see something. Don’t focus on your exams, be dragging with people you only wish to get to their level.
I saw a dr threatening a med student and I really wish I were the med student I'd love to see what he'd do. So if the person didn't have med student on his bio, you'd still threaten with taking it personal with him and his school Let me finish this my exams first, you people-

Doctors are difficult people to satisfy. If you must lead them, then you must know that they are trained to see and criticize anomalies in systems.
