Driving Maharashtra’s Green Mobility Revolution!
Delighted to be part of the inauguration of the manufacturing facilities of EKA Mobility and its group of companies, marking another important step towards strengthening Maharashtra’s EV and clean energy ecosystem.
With growing concerns over vehicular pollution and fuel dependence, the transition towards alternative fuels and sustainable mobility is a priority. Under the visionary leadership of Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji, India is making significant strides in this direction.
Pune, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Nagpur are emerging as major EV hubs. Maharashtra will require 50,000 electric buses over the next three years, and the State’s industries have been urged to enhance their production capacity to meet this demand.
The Maharashtra Government will develop a network of EV charging facilities along major highways across Maharashtra, in partnership with vehicle manufacturers. The Government will facilitate the required land, permissions and infrastructure for this purpose.
