thx for the question! i do a weird thing where i dont really target a certain size, and instead just find the dimensions i need and then lock the aspect ratio and make it bigger until the maximum layers is ~100. and, since im not printing, dpi doesnt really matter to me.

to be clear, i almost never use 100 layers on any of my art, but i can sometimes go up to 60 and i like being able to stay mostly lagless even when i have that many layers. also, if you ARE printing, 300 dpi is almost always plenty unless you plan on making banners or something.
