18 years ago Jay-Z became the first rapper to headline Glastonbury & trolled Oasis when they said rap had no place there. He came on stage playing their song Wonderwall & then flipped it into 99 Problems and destroyed the stage 😭
JAY-Z has four #1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100
- Umbrella (with Rihanna)
- Empire State Of Mind (with Alicia Keys)
- Crazy In Love (with Beyoncé)
- Heartbreaker (with Mariah Carey)

Jay Z is also the first rap artiste to headline Coachella . For 11 years Coachella was a rock festival, no rapper had ever headlined it until Jay Z walked out on that stage on April 16, 2010. See how he opened doors for rap both in the US and UK? 🐐

Nobody had this conversation with Meek when Drake won. Nobody moved a goalpost. Nobody tried to justify streams vs bots. They said “Meek, you lost the battle”, and the Earth continued to orbit.
50 Cent tells Michael Rainey Jr. and Gianni Paolo that people were GASLIT into believing Drake LOST his battle with Kendrick Lamar, revealing he personally asked Drake what he actually lost and Drake said NOTHING, arguing that his RUN is one of the GREATEST in hip-hop history, with his position still UNTOUCHABLE 😳🔥
“I said, ‘Let me ask you a question. What did you lose?’ And he said, ‘Nothing.’ … You can’t just replace him at the present moment. He’s a hybrid. He’s going to give you good R&B music and then some rap sh-t that we actually like.”
Sale vs Sell be kicking y’all ass man.
We all have been asking for az chike’s first week sells. According to akademiks, az chike’s album sold 2200 copies on its first week. Now, it makes sense why nobody was reporting the sells on his album. I guess, a picture in the studio with Kendrick Lamar didn’t help selling the album. You guys still believe az chike is one of the faces of the west coast?
