The first Sentinel-1 SAR image of the Brunt Ice Shelf was acquired last night. Thanks to @CopernicusEU and @ESA_EO. The newly named A81 iceberg (thanks @usnatice) continues to move slowly away from the ice shelf.
Most issues now resolved on polarview.aq. Let us know if you spot any ongoing issues.
Premature comeback. We're still resolving some issues. Imagery and data will be back on polarview.aq as soon as possible.
polarview.aq is back online. Processing the backlog of data will happen over the next few hours.
Apologies - polarview.aq is offline due to unforeseen server problems. We'll be back online as soon as possible.

Amazing amount of @CopernicusEU #Sentinel1 imagery received over the last 10 days showing the movement of iceberg #A74 as it calved and moves away from the #BruntIceShelf. The giant berg is now 6-7 km away from the shelf and moving slowly with the currents @BAS_News

Canadian Arctic represents 40% of Canada’s territory and is home to over 200,000 people. Satellite data is key to meet their needs, especially since #climatechange is altering the icescape. @polarview is helping do just that – using 🛰data. #SatellitesforEarth

Quick update of current #A68 iceberg locations to finish off a Friday afternoon. I hope the letters are all correct, but there's a lot to keep track of now! It looks like E has fractured a lot recently, and A still remains a substantial size at ~770 km² 📸:@CopernicusEU.

Some delays to Sentinel-1 access today due to maintenance at ESA. sentinels.copernicus.eu/web/…
Nicely spotted @laura_gerrish.
Iceberg #A68a has broken up into 2 or 3 pieces between 26th Jan and today (28th)! Bergs currently ~130 km SE of #SouthGeorgia. A68a is the biggest remaining piece of #A68 which calved from the Larsen Ice Shelf in 2017. @CopernicusEU #Sentinel1 imagery, accessed from @polarview
Latest update of remaining pieces of iceberg A68 lingering around South Georgia. Thanks @laura_gerrish.
