Discussing the ethical implications of new technologies is vital. However ethics should be part of the design process. In our paper in the Information Systems Journal we present an ethics-by-design approach #ethics #design #informationsystems onlinelibrary.wiley.com/jour…

Haha. When you Google "Design Fails" it presents the results in Comic Sans. Well played.

Let's call it: The first big blackout of the green electricity era (Below my notes from the conference call the Spanish grid operator held earlier today with reporters. I added extra information from my initial post, and corrected a location: it was the south-west). 🧵1/2

At the height of One Million Checkboxes's popularity I thought I'd been hacked. A few hours later I was tearing up, extraordinarily proud of some brilliant teens. A thread about my favorite story from running OMCB....
I made a website. it's called "one million checkboxes dot com". it has one million checkboxes on it. checking a box checks it for everyone. that's it. have fun!

Great presentation by @CianSOBrien at the Dynamo Business Continuity Symposium at @UCC today. Super point about the importance of language for engagement with healthcare service providers. From "Business" Continuity ➡️ Service Continuity @CUBSucc

Time for car insurance renewal. Been with @AXA for years, no points, maximum NCD. Seemed high but a call usually gets a reduction based on depreciation. This time I was told to take it or leave it. I will leave it - reluctantly 😭 I got quoted 50% cheaper elsewhere 🤯

From the article " It shows that in 2016, waterfall projects, where big bets on technology certainty are made before user needs are really known, failed or partly failed 87 per cent of the time, offering near zero value for money."
