James Hetfield: “Metallica’s not here like some other entertainers to influence you with their bullshit. We’re here to forget about all the outside shit. Agenda is love, energy, and heavy music, baby.”
Also James Hetfield: repeatedly donates hundreds of thousands to Ukrainian causes, visits wounded Ukrainian soldiers in the hospital, shouts out Ukrainian fans from the stage, and has the band highlight Ukrainian musicians and relief efforts every chance he gets.
Nothing more apolitical than selective geopolitics, right? The outside shit only counts when it’s the wrong outside shit.

Any minimally honest person would acknowledge that this raid is a flagrant abuse of state power and the domestic authorities of DHS against one of Trump's most outspoken critics, right near an election.
The scurrilous claims about @IlhanMN have never had any basis in fact or evidence. Omar has lived in the US for more than 30 years: longer than Melania Trump, or Sebastian Gorka, or Steve Hilton, or countless GOP luminaries. She's lived in the US since she was 13. She's been a US citizen for more than 25 years.
This has as much to do with immigration enforcement as the Trump/Rubio policy of deporting people for the crime of criticizing Israel: which is to say, none at all. It's all about feeding the MAGA base something to excite them and, especially, persecuting one of the most vocal critics of Trump and Israel.

I’m ok. Make no mistake: this is an attempt to target political enemies and weaponize federal law enforcement. For ten years, Trump has targeted me with baseless lies and smear campaigns. This is just the latest escalation in his campaign of political intimidation.
I will not be silenced.

Cristobal Soria: "Fifty years will pass, and no Real Madrid fan will ever be able to forget the thousands upon thousands of humiliations they suffered at the feet of Leo Messi. Every time they hear his name, it’s like a piece of bread getting stuck in their throat that they simply can’t swallow.
"I don’t know what might happen in emergency rooms across Spain… If His Holiness, Leo Messi, has a chance of winning the Ballon d’Or, hospitals will surely be flooded with people suffering from nervous breakdowns and anxiety attacks.” @DSportsRadio

Please listen to Palestinians on whether or not Zionism is Racism, rather imagining someone who now feels a bit sad because the Greens identified their ideology as racist.
In fact, erasing Palestinians from this entire debate is, itself, racist.

I’m 50. For our whole lives America has been told populist New Deal-style economics are fringe & “far left” rather than mainstream and in the actual center of public opinion.
The gaslighting machine is finally losing some of its power — which is why the machine’s owners are mad.
The moral collapse of this country will be studied for a generation. We are devolving at a rapid pace. We are ruled by degenerate psychopaths.
What's crazy is that @SarahLongwell25 spent 15 years working for the most notorious lobbyist in the country, Richard Berman; he even got a movie made about him, called "Thank You For Smoking." And she's never accounted for that.
The rule-of-thumb in DC has always been that it's ok to do the most antisocial kind of lobbying -- aside from tobacco and all sorts of other clients, Berman even lobbied to push pregnant women to eat more mercury -- but if you do that, you're a little less welcome in public, polite society. You can keep all your friends and go to private parties, in other words, but you're not gonna be invited to join the Kennedy Center board. No tobacco lobbyists need apply.
Yet Longwell spent the bulk of her career working for the most notorious, evil lobbyist in DC, has never explained it at all, and has just seamlessly transitioned into journalism and advocacy for Democrats. Here she is explaining how it was actually fine for Kamala Harris to not take a stand against the genocide in Gaza. I don't think I've ever seen anything like it.
I would QT her here but she blocked me.

A genocidal racist is now lecturing Canadian Parliamentarians on racism.
This is the depth to which Canada’s political elite has sunk.

1) Zionism carved out a state in a land where 90% were Palestinian Muslim and Christians.
Actually, we do get to define Zionism based on its ideas and practise.
2) Smearing people who support equal rights as "Jew haters" doesn't make it any more true.
'It was promised to me 2,000 years ago!'
you are a charlatan and you are panicking because it is becoming evident to everyone
This is the dumbest analysis imaginable. Democrats lost because they re-nominated an 82 yo unpopular incumbent and when he had a health event on stage they replaced him w the unpopular VP they clearly had no confidence in. Voters didn’t like that she was a CA progressive, so she tried to shake that off by running a completely different campaign, but refused to distance herself from her unpopular boss. This left voters without a clear sense of who she was. She made a lousy VP pick that added almost nothing to the campaign. This is why she lost. Her ONE DAY with Liz Cheney is not. I didn’t consult for her campaign or advise it in any way, only said yes to helping when asked to moderate an event, because I desperately wanted her to win. Part of the reasons Dems struggle is they are unwilling to look facts about voters square in the face and love to pretend the world is different than it is. But you can’t win going forward if you can’t be honest about why your candidate lost. And if you’re looking to blame people for Trump winning, look no further than all the folks who couldn’t be bothered to vote for Kamala because she wasn’t pure enough for them.

Wonderful to see Navi Pillay’s work recognized with the Nobel Peace Prize today. Her dedication to justice, human rights and accountability to those who commit unlawful acts and atrocities whether apartheid in South Africa or genocide in Gaza is inspiring and shows us the path to peace.
Breaking News: The Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to Navi Pillay for her efforts to ensure that war crimes and genocide are prosecuted. nyti.ms/3WfZKCI
