Are all parts in VinFast cars made in Vietnam? Do Hyundai & Kia cars have 100% Korean-origin parts, without a single foreign component?
Yet they dominate their home markets.
Why is supporting homegrown brands high IQ choice elsewhere, but low IQ blind nationalism in India?
Desh ka loha?
If Toyotas are superior & Koreans aren't desh ka loha fanboys, why do Hyundai&Kia dominate ~80% of Korea's market?
Is VinFast more reliable than Toyota to corner ~40% of Vietnam's market, or is it nationalism?
Indians mog their own for buying Tata & Mahindra.

Not a day is passing by without seeing ICE car fires, especially most of the times it's Maruti Suzuki, this time it's Ertiga. Yet MS always escapes the flak.

The Jeep® Willys Heritage Trail in Indore brought 85 years of Jeep® Brand history to the road, as these icons came together to celebrate the spirit that started it all.

Well I hate to break it to you, but I'm already facing some reliability issues in my hycross hybrid. The major reason for it is the thermal management of the battery because in extreme summer, the battery does not charge, or switches on it automatically. The mileage dropped to 8-10 kmpl in city drive.
After clean designs like the e-Vitara, Fronx & old Baleno, and good 4-cylinder NA engines, Maruti be like: Enough! Let's make designs ugly, downgrade engines & test the power of our badge.
Toyota be like: Why not? Let's do it, buddy.

Before Tata & Mahindra became serious about Indian Automotive market, Maruti & Hyundai were just bringing the facelift and new engines.
Tata/Mahindra made safety & build quality & Features as Parameters on which they sell cars.
Cabin feel & Safety parameters were largely ignored by legacy OEM’s back then.
Tata/Mahindra/Kia brought so much of top end car’s interiors to increase comfort :
✅Ventilated seats
✅Interior lighting
✅360 Cam
✅Quality Dashboard Infotainment Screens
✅Soft touch materials
✅ADAS
As a whole package cars of today are much advanced & safer than earlier for the price they are offered to users.
As a package it is going to further increase in Quality & Features due to so much competition & new powertrains like EV’s which bring top notch performance in mass market cars.
I bought Hyundai Grand i10 Sportz (O) in 2017 for ₹5.9 lakh after discounts.
Today, Grand i10 Nios Sportz (O), costs around ₹8.1 lakh on-road in Delhi.
Nine years later, that's a price increase of roughly 3.5% CAGR.
And look at what has changed.
The newer car gets six airbags, electronic stability control, hill-start assist, TPMS and an 8-inch touchscreen.
My 2017 car had a touchscreen, 2 airbags and smartphone connectivity. But several safety features that were missing on my variant are now part of the package.
Have entry-level cars actually become more expensive, or are we underestimating how much more carmakers offer for the money today?

Folks in India keep talking about Tesla not doing well and how BYD is a better value etc.
In China, customers are flocking to Tesla for a reason.
Tesla Model Y was China’s best-selling vehicle of any kind in September, with 50,359 units sold!
What’s remarkable is that the Model Y costs more than 3 times as much as the No. 2 and No. 3 best-sellers on the list. Yet, it still outsold them. Chinese love Model Y.
🇨🇳 China’s Top 3 Best-Selling Vehicles — September 2026
🥇 1. Tesla Model Y: ¥263,500–369,000
🥈 2. Geely Xingyuan: ¥64,800–101,800
🥉 3. BYD Yuan UP: ¥74,800–119,800

The first of four new hatchbacks lined up for the next one year launches today.
It's the Toyota Glanza Facelift. And it's also the first of four new cars launching this week.
What to expect? Everything that the facelifted Maruti Baleno got recently. That's because the Glanza is essentially a Baleno in Toyota clothes.
ADAS, facelifted front and rear, ventilated seats, wireless charging and an AMT even for the CNG trims are key changes expected on the Glanza Facelift.
More from the launch floor.

Tata shows the way, then sleeps while others take the idea forward. The Tata Ace created a segment; Mahindra & Ashok Leyland are taking it forward.
Now it's EVs and CNG powertrains with usable boot space.
Mahindra 3X0 CNG with Tata like dual cylinder CNG. 🔥
