The fact that Progressive Dems are not champions of DeFi speaks to how woefully illiterate our government officials are to the nuances of this technology. You can decry World Liberty - and you should - while still advocating for self custody, property rights, and the democratization of financial tools and services. Today was a punt, whether the 119th picks it up again (logistically extremely unlikely) or the 120th takes a crack at it, nothing is "over". Personally I am and have been in the camp of no bill is better than a bad bill. What I want to see most now is bipartisan standalone legislation creating an ethics/conflict of interest framework for government officials. Onward we go.
