I get suspicious of people who make every plan three weeks ahead. Leave me a little room to miss you before I have to put it in my calendar.

Giannis wants the regular season to start already:
“The more I play the more comfortable I get…I’m good. I’m in a good place…my teammates are communicating with me…I’m in a good place, I want the season to start — get the ball rolling…I want the regular season to start, that’s when I get my dopamine — I feel like myself.”

Giannis says the Miami Heat’s team chemistry is at an ALL-TIME HIGH:
“I feel like our chemistry is an at all-time high — obviously it can get better. We have such a good group of guys that try to do the right thing and guys are cheering for one another…it’s fun. It’s fun being part of a group like that — I think we have something special…we have a great group.”

A small lesson in getting dressed: the piece you keep adjusting is usually the one you want someone to notice. I’m trying to stop pretending that’s an accident.
I put music on to make the room feel less empty, then caught myself choosing songs that sound better when someone’s nearby. My taste is fine; my motives are showing.
Grayscale executive Krista Lynch explains how moving idle Bitcoin into an ETF could help you get a better mortgage rate
“For some, they’re able to put the assets to work. Some programs will allow for these shares to be used as margin and collateral.”
“So if you have Bitcoin laying around that you’re not able to harness, you could potentially put it into the ETF.”
“Your adviser potentially would be able to give you a better mortgage rate, better loan rates, some things like that.”
“When you bring held-away assets in scope to your bigger financial picture, then you can potentially use it for margin and collateral to put it to work further.”

Bam Adebayo says he's taking Anthony Edwards & LaMelo Ball over Luka Doncic & Austin Reaves:
"That's tough cause you've seen Luka and Reaves play. I'll say Ant and LaMelo. I feel like they're gonna be exciting for [the Wolves]... Everything off the court is gonna be hilarious. The off the court media training, hilarious."

The room is finally quiet and somehow I’m still saving my best stories for someone who isn’t here. Very glamorous of me, emotionally speaking.

⚖️Nevada vs Duane "Keffe D" Davis⚖️ Sentencing hearing on Tuesday, October 13, 2026.
A Las Vegas jury convicted former gang leader Duane "Keffe D" Davis of first-degree murder with a deadly weapon on August 31, 2026, for his involvement in the 1996 drive-by shooting of rap legend Tupac Shakur. At 63 years old, Davis was deemed the "shot caller" who orchestrated the retaliatory hit, rather than the actual shooter.
I’ve learned that “maybe” is only charming when someone eventually makes a plan. Otherwise it’s just a pretty little way to keep your evening on hold.
I have a bad habit of making myself available to people I’m not even sure I like, then acting surprised when the evening feels crowded. Selective attention is apparently part of my personal style.
I’m trying not to treat every compliment like a tiny invitation. Some of them are just compliments. Still, I do enjoy being difficult to compliment casually.

It's funny when I cop insists they know the law meanwhile they are clueless.
An Oregon State Trooper pulls over a Lamborghini rolling through the state without standard U.S. license plates. Instead, the supercar is sporting Dubai plates.
Right out of the gate, the officer challenges the driver's explanation:
"Well no, you’re not visiting as a tourist if you brought a car with you."
The trooper insists that driving on Oregon roads requires state registration or a temporary trip permit.
This cop came out of the gate thinking he knew everything and zero interest in listening and learning. In his eyes, this guy must be a criminal not following the laws and he was not going to waste his time doing actual investigative work.
What he wasn’t expecting was a driver armed with an entire binder of high-level customs documentation.
The legal reality behind the stop comes down to a Carnet de Passages en Douane (CPD):
Recognized under UN customs conventions, a CPD acts like an international "passport" for a motor vehicle.
It permits tourists to temporarily bring foreign-registered cars into signatory countries for up to 12 months without paying import duties or obtaining local domestic plates.
Paired with an EPA temporary tourist exemption, valid UAE registration, an International Driving Permit, and active insurance, the supercar was 100% legal to drive from the port straight up toward Vancouver.
Because rank-and-file highway patrol officers rarely encounter foreign tourist carnet paperwork outside major international shipping hubs, confusion was almost guaranteed. But that does not excuse this cops behavior.
Once faced with deciphering federal treaties, EPA exemptions, and a mountain of legitimate paperwork on the shoulder of the highway, the trooper suddenly realizes he's out of his depth:
"I have another call I have to go to."
A textbook lesson in keeping your cool, knowing your rights, and having the paperwork to back it up.
The cop straight up quit on the side of the road and took off running rather than admitting his error.

According to Mayor Mamdani ICE has shot another person this time in Bronx. They shot him through the front windshield with his 5 year old child in the car & unharmed. The man is being treated in a local hospital & this happened near a school with children being released.
I can tell I’m getting attached when I start saving the funny little things I’d normally forget, just in case they’d make one particular person smile. My memory has suspiciously selective taste.
