Any one of these cabinet confirmations is dangerous. The fact that they all came from the *same* network of foreign influences is terrifying. The US has been captured by hostile foreign powers, and it may not be reversible.

Must has been tweeting manically overnight about defunding USAID, citing lurid right wing disinformation. USAID is key to America’s soft power, and the only beneficiaries of its destruction are Russia and China

1/ If you’re surprised we’re in this mess, you haven’t been paying attention to history. As I show in my new book, Den of Spies, harpercollins.com/products/d…, the GOP has been engaged in treasonous assaults on democracy for more than 50 years. (Reposts are greatly appreciated.)

Dear @VP: You once wrote that, “It is misleading to suggest that impenetrable cybersecurity is possible; our focus must be on … detecting … any effort to harm us,” and we “can’t afford to be naive.” As you know, MAGAs breached voting systems in swing states & Rs blocked the #SAFEAct, which wld have required rigorous manual audits for federal races. Why have you NOT requested manual recounts or at least ballot images? 1/

It’s about time the Democratic Party come to terms with the fact that a vast majority of the American public lives in a media environment — from Fox to Twitter to podcasts — that functions as a Republican propaganda machine. Ignoring this reality is no longer a tenable solution.

A recount is NOT enough. Demand a re-vote and an investigation into election interference by Russia in swing states that previously went to President Biden. Both Biden & Harris and other prominent voices need to support this motion. #DoNotConcedeKamala

The great genius of the Putin-Musk-Trump ticket was to disguise historical geopolitical capture as standard partisan conflict. The bulk of Republicans and indeed the overwhelming majority of the American public has no idea of the severity or consequences of what has happened.

The Prime Minister of Canada says under oath that RT, which the U.S. State Department alleges is engaged in "information operations, covert influence, and military procurement," is funding Jordan Peterson and Tucker Carlson.
Under oath, Trudeau says Russia (RT) is funding disgraced Psychologist Jordan Peterson. Turns out Jordo’s 3 month Russian sponsored Benzo rehab coma was good for business. 😉🇨🇦 nitter.cf/NChartierET/status/184…

The Trump candidacy is not so much a political campaign as what intelligence services call an influence operation, a coordinated effort to use mis-and-disinformation to undermine democratic institutions and processes.

This is established fact, but many people still don’t accept the reality of what this means today: Trump works for Putin.
In 1987, Trump was encouraged by the KGB to go into politics while on a trip to Moscow with his wife Ivana. After this trip, Trump immediately began to parrot KGB talking points and especially his disdain for NATO while the Cold War was still on. theguardian.com/us-news/2021…

Never forget that tRump asked for the list of spies that we had working for the US Government….and shortly after he obtained that info we had a sharp spike in spies being exposed, captured and killed. If you think this is just a coincidence then you are an idiot.

The degree of Russian compromise of the Republican party is one of the great stories of American political history. Those of us who worked within the party saw it happen, accompanied by a right-wing media industry that found it profitable to label Russian influence a "hoax." There's nothing like it in American history.

CEOs and billionaires supporting Trump need to be named, shamed, and brought the fuck out in the light. You have all the money in the world and you still need more.

🚨 LISTEN UP 🚨: The reason the @GOP and Trump don’t seem to be concerned about winning the election is terrifyingly simple: they don’t think they’re going to need to because they have dozens of election-deniers in place across the swing states planning not to certify results.

Trump is laying groundwork for next coup right in front of our eyes: At his rally last Saturday,Trump praised 3 members of the Georgia State Election Board by name. Yesterday those three did what want Trump asked and voted to allow county election workers to not certify results if MAGA board workers don't think election is “complete and accurate.” In other words, if Trump loses they now have power to refuse to certify results. democracydocket.com/opinion/…

Trump clearly wasn't shot. The fact that folks believe he was despite no medical update and no visible injury to his ear the day after the incident is laughable. 0% chance Trump's bloody ear came from a bullet. Media would rather destroy democracy for Trump than pursue truth.
