Let’s not forget the July 4th flood on the Guadalupe River. 117 Americans lost their lives. President Biden allotted money to Abbott to upgrade the sirens on the river. Abbott DID NOT upgrade the sirens. Instead he gave deputies a pay raise. WTF Texas?!🤬
people voting for abbott after uvalde is actually sick

The literacy crisis isn’t that people can’t read the words. It’s that they can’t understand the context, infer meaning, recognise nuance, identify contradictions, or draw logical conclusions from what they’ve read

I think a lot of yall are just racist af because americans (particularly black, brown, and indigenous americans) have been protesting like this for years. yall only love a riot when its majority white people doing it.
Americans could never protest like Europeans, because all they care about is celebrity culture and treating their politicians like celebrities to justify doing nothing to upset the ruling class in the face of fascism

Yes the French have a more developed sustained semi-riot protest culture than us but I feel ppl have memoryholed the fact that ICE deployments were not taken lightly and that the President deployed the Marines to our second largest city to counter protests
What’s even more pathetic is that most of these American protesters are old people. The French youth are rising up against their government while the American youth seem to not give a shit about anything.

Darren Seals helped organize the movement pictured in the 1st image and was later found shot inside his car, covered in flames. We resist KNOWING what's on the other side of it. Mfs too forgetful.
"Why won't Americans protest like that...." We do. Y'all may have short attention spans, but i don't. Black and Brown folk be fighting for their liberty and the police will throw everything back at them. The question is why won't YOU fight?

Please don't buy into this nonsense. More than a fifth of Jamaican surnames are Scottish in origin. Glasgow was built on the tobacco and sugar trade. Look at the street names. Scots made up 30% of Caribbean plantation owners.

I hope this video gets viral because this Aeta community deserves more dignity and modern equipment from the government. Assholes on social media think they're just scavengers who dont like Pax Silica. They are real Filipinos helping your mid ass cafe make u an ube latte
Global demand for ube has sent prices soaring. Still, the Aeta indigenous communities in Pampanga, who have grown the purple yam for generations, face pressure on local supply as exports rise and Manila restricts fresh shipments. Al Jazeera’s Jamela Alindogan reports.
