This is how the American Political Circus works.
Algorithms and illicit movement of money and incentives defines who to hate.
Then, one side decides to hate. So the other side decided to defend. Now issue x, that did not exist 2 years ago, becomes the focal point.
Many issues co exist and compete. The one that wins the engagement and funding objectives succeeds to the top.
Now, everyone must participate. Even if you dont feel it or live it, you have to participate. Your political career depends on articulating a problem (in this case Indian immigration) that you dont agree with or live in practice (in Brandon Gill or JD vance’s case their wives are literally Indian women) so gullible masses can channel their anger towards it (instead of you) and you can profit in money or political capital.
In american political discourse, nothing is ever America’s fault. Its always the other- jews, muslims, the gays, the italians, the irish, the immigrants, the indians, the muslims, the arabs, the Vietnamese, the afghans, the iraqis, the iranians, the chinese, the russians-
You get the point.
Jayant Bhandari, having to literally read line-by-line, sentence by sentence, a fourth grader level argument to appease to botfarms.
There is nothing to oppose here. This kind of indian is compatible with no civilised society.
"India is an Immoral, Irrational Society, devoid of values."
Jayant Bhandari, Indian Investor and Professor educated in the UK, explains why Indians are never compatible with American (Western) culture from his lecture series understanding India.
Bhandari is temporarily residing in Canada, but Indians are now calling to have his Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) card removed for exposing them.
Indians are not compatible with American culture.
Can we get a ton of ambitious engineers on this hardware project and get some internet billionaires and funds to finance this?
Can we use these restrictions to our advantage?
The world will see us a threat somewhat as we begin the climb up the nation-state hierarchy.
We must expect more. Can we prepare?
The full picture on Chinese export controls is sharper than just TBMs alone.
The licence rule applies to exports to “sensitive countries and regions in dispute with China.”
The list also covers walking excavators and plateau shotcrete machines used above 3,000 metres.Basically the equipment that builds roads and tunnels as part of India's massive infrastructure buildout in Himalayas.
Beijing has also put controls on drone autopilots and engines, and last week floated a draft to restrict 40+ technologies, including next-gen solar manufacturing.
Every sector where India is trying to cut dependence on China is now a chokepoint.
Just need to face it and build it here, and build it fast. via @businessline
@grok can you give a quick summary of Japan. germany, china and TBMs and the timelines, engineering, innovation and funding inputs that led to china being able to build tbms

i genuinely like what @prvkhvr is trying to do with the “global indian” movement.
it’s the first time someone named the feeling, the experience: you grow up somewhere, your standards get set somewhere else, and the internet does it quietly, so you end up more confident in what indians can do and more annoyed at what india still calls fine, and it doesn’t even feel like a crisis, it just feels normal.
prakhar is trying to give people a third option so they stop getting sorted into the old bins. nri makes you a guest, south asian or brown erases the specific purpose, local community keeps the ambition circumcised. global indian keeps both. you stay indian, you’re just allowed to want something bigger than the room you were born in.
the ultimate danger is that it boils down to another status quo. better english, a foreign degree, a softer accent saying the same hierarchy. the real version is simpler. you’ve already seen what good looks like, now you have to decide if you’ll keep letting the local version of “enough” be the last word. not the passport. the refusal. you ready to have the conversation?

We discussed geo politics, psychology of the self, sociology, media theory and its evolution and the hidden forces behind a resurgent racism against Indians.

THE GLOBAL RECOGNITION WOULD BE INSANE 🔥
American intellectuals created ‘South Asia’ to fund University Departments
American politicians repeat ‘South Asia’ to not alienate Indian Subcon voter base.
There is no South Asia. Its India, Indians, and others.
I am incredibly grateful that local law enforcement thwarted this attempted mass shooting by a white supremacist and that the worshipers at this temple are safe.
Attacks on South Asians have been on the rise, online and by leaders in our own government. This hate, racism, and violence are absolutely unacceptable, are traumatizing our communities, and must end.

One of my key concerns is exactly this
In the absence of a proper identity, Indians are either given an identity that doesnt work or fall into a tribal identity.
Either we are NRIs. Translation- social orphans in another land. No leader, no symbols. Only nostalgia as a guiding anchor
Or we are south asians. Translation- a blended mix of people who do not want to be Indian. Inherently effacing our Indianness.
Or we are browns. Pfft. Half the world is brown. That doesnt say a thing about me.
Or we are our communities- sikhs, gujjus, mallus, stressfully banding together for survival needs, afraid someone else will snatch it from us.
We need to re do the identity matrix. We are global indians. A unique brand of the indian identity thats global in its expression and approach. An Indian for whom his ambitions and nightmares are larger than India.
We exist in huge numbers. Ask the racists, they know. They deeply know. We just dont know we exist and that we are in it together.
The next 2 decades are from India 🇮🇳 to the World 🌍.
Haters can hate.
A lovely young Indian man was manning the bar at my Arlington hotel. Hardworking, amiable, adept at banter with his American customers, an INDIVIDUAL. Not surprisingly, he was a 27-year-old from Pune/Poona, trying to make his way in the world, not one of the usual Gujarati or Punjabi Indians who are innately tribal, perhaps because there IS a tribe behind them, a vast hinterland of Gujjus and Punjabis to which they retreat after the day is done, and where they discard the costume of integration and assimilation and retreat from America. This young man was here On His Own, no biradari, no caste-cocoon, no language-langar after work. I talked to him just as I would to an American bartender, even as I shared with him my immense disappointment that the dish I saw on the menu and wanted to order was, on closer inspection, not "Chicken Korma" but "Chicken Roma." We had a laff about that. I ordered quesadillas instead, on his say-so: "tasty but not too heavy, and I'll bring you some Sriracha", he said. I tipped him "nicely" (Indians will know what I mean). God bless him. He told me his name was Vedant.
I dont get it.
Even in your world, your own politicians scammed you. They pit Indian workers against you, to keep wages low in your economy.
The H1B is an American scam, not an Indian scam. Your politicians, the same guys who engaged in pedophilia on the island, who go to war 10 times a year with random nations, the same politicians who cannot decide if they want to resist Russia-China or kowtow to them, created the H1B program, that you so dearly hate, to negotiate you out of your own labour market.
And you hate Indians?? For legitimately trying to find employment and live a life in another country?
The fact that a large part of Americans remain so (obviously) programmable, year after year, by manufactured political battles and now botfarms is astounding to me.
5 years ago it was trans toilet. 2 years ago it was the jews. Today its indians. Like clockwork.
Americans are trying to fill a god shaped hole in their heart with politics, and they just dont see it.

India may not have 9,000 satellites in low Earth orbit, but we have:
- 3X America’s connected users
- At least 5X the number of towers
- Half, if not the same, OFC route length as the US
- And we’re the largest consumers of data in the world
India’s approach to Starlink cannot be compared directly with the US, and @prvkhvr had made an important point:
“We’re not like the US, where you have oceans around you. We’re actually surrounded by Pakistan and China.”
“Anything that we do, having a free market reign of all kinds, is also not an easy consideration for a country like India. We do actually have to be very careful.”
Dear Prime Minister Ambani,
Please accept my humble apologies for not realizing that you are the real boss of India.
Naturally, you would prefer to maintain your monopolistic exploitation of the great people of India, but would you nonetheless consider allowing Starlink to compete?
There are many areas of India, as there are in all countries, with no Internet access, which denies children the opportunity for education and for small businesses the opportunity to sell their goods to a global market. Starlink would change their lives for the better.
Thank you 🙏
Few thoughts on Elon v Ambani/India
1. Most of us never thought we would defend Ambanis like this. Not that there is dislike for them. Most Indians just dont care about them as such. But important fact for Elon to know, to figure out how wrong he has read the room.
2. Anyone who thinks this is about open markets and free competition is naive. If he truly wanted to get into India, he would not start by insulting the head of the state. He wouldnt do it if it was Belarus or Belize, much less India. This is a ‘fuck you’ moment, only utterable if you have credible reason to believe Modi is on his way out.
3. What the West doesnt understand, and to India’s general inconvenience, NatSec takes a huge piece of meat from India’s path to development. Crypto, Starlink, Bitchat- are all examples of things we cannot play with because we live next to Pakistan. Those guys are relentless in trying to bleed India with a thousand cuts. Just impossible to have “free technology” and “free access”. We would love if there was not a billion stages of security everywhere, but we have seen too many visuals of half blown up people to relax on national security. As America is liberated by the Atlantic and Pacific, India is restricted by Pakistan and China.
4. The BYD vs Tesla hypocrisy is just hilarious. America can try and make america great again on Musks money, but how dare India tries protectionism.
I expect a lot more of this rhetoric to go on. The American establishment has decided to contain India as opposed to befriend it. Symptoms will exist everywhere- racism, tariffs, random crash outs.
There is no such thing as south asia, because south asia exists as a function of Pakistan not wanting to be India.
By definition, it is not one thing.
Anti-South Asian hate online has more than tripled since 2024, fueled by xenophobia, conspiracy theories, and politicians willing to legitimize them.
South Asian Americans belong here. We will not be intimidated, scapegoated, or pushed out of public life. npr.org/2026/10/04/nx-s1-598…

went on an hour-long walk with @prvkhvr’s latest live playing for the second time. the sociology of a global indian.
the clarity of his thinking during a livestream is unmatched. this is one of the clearest, most concise explanations of why we’re bullish on Indians.
india, maybe. indians, without a doubt.
he covered five big ideas:
1. geography and the algorithmic world are no longer the same thing. someone in maharashtra can have just as much exposure to global culture as someone in argentina.
2. representation matters. as indians, we shouldn’t give up the chance to speak for ourselves and let someone else define us in whatever shape they choose.
3. ambition is unusually dense here. compared with much of europe, indian dreams can feel larger than life.
4. we make up for what we lack in infrastructure with speed and zidd. as the world moves online, we’re shifting from a position of disadvantage to a head start: a huge, english-speaking, globally connected population.
5. building in India is hard. but the people who figure it out will be remembered in the history books. we’re already on that path.
+ understanding people’s most basic emotions, and how grandiosity works, can change how you think about your own position in the world.
he also talks about personal, selfish goals versus longer visions, how comparative missions are false to judge as they change with age, the list goes on. take an hour out for it today.
