Jos Buttler faces a lengthy lay-off after undergoing surgery on the left hamstring that he injured during England's ODI series against Sri Lanka.
He had already been ruled out of England's upcoming tri-series in Pakistan, and now looks set to miss the Australia white-ball tour in November.
No timeframe has yet been given for his recovery, with his SA20 stint with Durban's Super Giants also in doubt 🤕

Hazlewood is absolutely class. 300 plus Test wickets at 24. Not sure too many Australians have a middle name of Reginald though.

Two things can be true at the same time. It’s an aging Australian side but a highly experienced Australian side. They’ve played some really good cricket.
Steve Smith’s absence in the field is going to be massive. The Smith Lyon combo is so so important for Australia in the fourth innings of a Test match.
What those Steve Smith catches off the reverse sweep will do in the 4th innings will close off the options the Proteas batters will have. I’d be surprised if both Bavuma and Verrynne pull that shot out again.

there is something deeply unsettling about a society that keeps telling people to be more resilient while making the conditions of ordinary life progressively harder to withstand.

We were happy to see the talent of Maaz Sadaqat in the CPL 2026 for the Jamaica Kingsmen. His good form continues for Pakistan and we hope he has a long and successful career. He is a nice 360 batter.
