If the movie holds up as this trailer suggests, this is the all too familiar pattern of intellectual theft, artistic debasement, and cultural destruction the left is so famous for; this is no different than tearing down statues or tossing soup on works of art. You start with a sublime artistic project, which depends on integrated elements A, B, and C essential to a cohesive story, assembled by a master of his craft, and you say "I don't like these and also, the current culture needs and demands 'D'"
So, rather than crafting a unique story, to fit the culture of the times, with the elements that you want, an undertaking that would require great effort, you simply spray your graffiti on another work and call it art. But at some point people will realize that the debasement of the art, and the humiliation of those who appreciate it, IS the purpose of the current culture, and that will be the moment when people stop supporting things like this.

Tim Sweeney fired 1000 employees which is still having effects on Fortnite to this day, while also forcing the rest of his employees to make a star wars/marvel game mode using GenAI...
He is everything that's wrong with the gaming industry and he doesn't get ENOUGH hate.
The worst read in the gaming industry RN is the hate on @TimSweeneyEpic .
He fought platforms like Apple charging 30% fees which cost gamers and devs. This includes steam who BANS Developers if they offer their games cheaper on other stores who take less cut.
He buys forests just to turn them into nature reserves.
Epic store is not NEARLY as good as steam yet. But they take WAY less money from developers and literally hand out free AAA games each months. Does it need time to expand features? Yes. Are any of those factors something that is motivated by 'evil' no.
And MOST of all. He's 100% correct that its not 2016. Like it or not AI is existing. And the reason you only see the 'anti AI' comments are because the 95% of developers who ARE using it RIGHT NOW are just scared of the backlash.
This doesnt mean they're just vibe code 1-shotting games. They're utelising it to create workflows that streamline otherwise time consuming (and ultimately not 'player experience' defining factors). Stupid 1-shot assets/entire code bases are not what AI is actually being used for. But there are thousands of talented developers using it in a very thoughtful, structured way which gives them full creative control.
We all are 'scared' by AI - and what it means for jobs, creativity, and creation as a whole. But it DOES NOT change the fact that Tim sweeney isnt wrong.
He's just the person with the balls to actually say what is true.
What most people cannot accept is that just because a studio still has the same name and logo, does NOT mean they are the same people. The studio wasn’t Bioware for 10-15 years now. What died was a studio who basically had NOTHING to do with the games you liked from Bioware.
Some progress on the real time combat mode. The core systems are all up, the three attack types work, and the very basic version of the friendly ai is functioning too.

Konami killed/fired all creators of their main franchises for trying to keep making them.
15-20 years later Konami gave the same franchises to random studios who aped those works and told them to make the exact fucking thing they fired those creators for.

I haven't played any of the games so I can't call myself a fan but I've always associated Castlevania with the Ayami Kojima and in comparison to that, this is just ugly!
Fuck it! I am adding it back, I am finishing the real time version of Granser's combat and adding it in as an option! You will be able to play a full real time "Tales of" like system if you don’t like Turn based.
Instead of going the greed route I might just finish the original version of Granser's combat...
I built a fully functioning real time combat system before deciding on the turn based on a literal coin flip. But why not both? Fuck it I finish it and add it!
Have been thinking of remaking the entire combat system of Granser as a real time action game, it was only by a coin flip I ended up with the TB version for less chaos, but I built a whole system for the action versions too... maybe I'll just do it.
