managing teams of people might be the most rewarding, but at the same time, soul destroying thing you can do as a career path watching people grow and learn from your guidance is really satisfying, and in time you build up a network of people that want to work with you, even if you move company but... it is far outweighed by the people who just want to drain your energy/game the system/claim they are being bullied when you want to put them on a performance review. Then the dance you have to do with HR these days is mentally exhausting you simply can't get rid of the rotten apples anymore, you have to instead care for them, try and stop them going mouldy, look at them every day with a smile on your face, all while they sit there doing nothing but stink out your kitchen and ruin the other fruit around them
