also @imprint_films has a fantastic 4k set of the last seduction, which has it both in colour and a newly released black and white presentation! a great film in two ways!

in honor of noirvember, here's a question i've been debating: do you think noir films can only be in black and white? or is it immediately a "neo-noir" if it is in color?

the greatest opening in film
Here are some behind-the-scenes photos from LAST NIGHT IN SOHO to celebrate its 5th anniversary this week. All stills by the great Parisa Taghizadeh. Watching the film again on Sunday night was a powerful trip down memory lane in a number of ways. It made me think of the incredible cast and crew: we worked so hard, but had a lot of fun too. It also made me think of a different London—not just the London of the 1960s, but a pre-Covid capital, as we made the film just before (and partly during) the pandemic. And of course, it made me think of two actors who are no longer with us: Dame Diana Rigg and Terence Stamp. Both legends, and both people I feel honoured to have known and have worked with.

i can’t believe there was a time i didn’t like westerns… now i love westerns (the good ones, basically just the big country and a few others)
