City should be doing this.
Man City should learn from PSG and go all in on Champions League thetimes.com/sport/football/…

Just looked at this new “Founders Relief” - I can’t see who they think is going to benefit. Certainly not ordinary folk with a good idea. The hurdles are huge and the constraints counter-productive. A missed opportunity to spark some life into the start-up sector.
Wow. I was thinking of blogging about this s***show of a proposal, but @TimCreswick beat me to it. Great substack dismembering one of the most useless initiatives ever put forward

There have been nine crashes killing more than 10 people per crash in the last 35 years in Spain, and in total 48 crashes involving at least one fatality. Something is wrong there.
.@SkyYaldaHakim - "Should people in Spain be nervous about travelling on this system?"
"I definitely would be right now" - Francisco Badea Romero, engineering professor at Nebrija University

Great image of a worried family waiting for Andy Burnham’s appearance on R4 to tell them what salted snacks they should take as essentials before driving to set up their emergency tent in the Brecon Beacons

Damning @DavidLloydRADIO
As BBC local radio proposes yet more change despite ample budget in decent hands - is the game all over? How has it come to this? Who's responsible? I've tried to pull it together

He’s right you know
I’d like to create some jobs, please, but first I need permission from Brian Cox and the local amphibians thetimes.com/comment/columni…
This is so obviously wrong I’m amazed R4 tweeted it. 20 years and 8 films is the correct number - and 2 years longer than Daniel Craig played Bond.
Dame Judi Dench played ‘M’ in James Bond for eight years – longer than any actor has played Bond himself.
She tells @emmabarnett about being invited to lunch with the real-life head of MI6.
I have seen absolutely nothing in the two years of this government that makes me think they know, understand or even care about entrepreneurialism - and I can’t imagine anything on Wednesday will surprise me.
BREAKING
The Treasury’s entrepreneurship adviser has announced she is quitting.
Alex Depledge tells my colleague @hannahprevett start-ups are treated as a “sideshow” and a “nice to have”.
“Entrepreneurship can’t be seen as a good news bonus on the margins of economic policy. That mentality is really dangerous for British business as a whole…”
Depledge due to leave her role on Thursday, the day after the Budget.

I’m enjoying “War” on Sky, but did check on Google Gemini the legitimacy of 1) the honey trap, 2) the mole, & 3) the asset shifting.
Gemini said all three were completely bonkers and than no reputable law firm would ever do them. Which is what I thought.
Still good popcorn though
It was painful to watch this. He is clearly a very personable man, was a great footballer, and has the teams best interests at heart. Whether that makes him an elite manager is a moot point - he’s in an invidious position and all true reds will feel for him this weekend.
This is from the heart. Anyone who knows Michael Carrick or has followed his career knows that. He’s always been about the team, not about himself. He cares deeply about Manchester United. #MUFC

I might have to stop watching United. Not sure I can take much more like this!
A week on from their shocking start against Atletico, #MUFC have done it again. Two mins in and Nico Paz scores
This is my earliest memory of a “news story” and it was of kids my age and my friends age being lost in such a terrible tragedy. 60 years can’t dim the pain their surviving friends and relatives must feel
I see R4X is closing its broadcast platform. Presumably some staff savings - but what about the slot on the multiplex? As we said in our submission to OFCOM there are commercial operators like us who would willingly pay the BBC rent to be on there. I doubt it’ll ever happen
