The choice in Michigan’s U.S. Senate race is clear.
Vote Abdul El-Sayed.

ALT The image is a split graphic comparing Abdul El-Sayed and Mike Rogers. On the left, Abdul El-Sayed is associated with rebuilding Detroit's Health Department after bankruptcy, eliminating medical debt for 300,000 people, guaranteeing healthcare, lowering prescription drug costs, and supporting family farms. On the right, Mike Rogers is noted for receiving more than $5 million from corporations, voting to cut healthcare, supporting war in Iran, pocketing money from pharmaceutical companies, and having a top financial advisor connected to child sexual assault.

Talanta Stadium was budgeted at KSh 35 billion, but we ended up paying KSh 45.85 billion. That is an additional KSh 10.85 billion that was likely pocketed by Ruto and his friends.
A similar 60,000-seater stadium in Ivory Coast the Olympic Stadium of Ebimpé, which hosted the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations cost only KSh 33 billion.
Last month, Harambee Stars players went on strike over unpaid allowances of approximately KSh 80,000 per player.
Yet Mr Ruto is ready to pay Bayern Munich and Ajax between KSh 250–300 million each in appearance fees just to come and officially open Talanta Stadium. That figure does not even include air travel, accommodation, security, and other related expenses.
Ruto wants to pay foreign teams to play at our stadium while inviting our own football stars and aspiring players to sit as spectators.
There is zero value for Kenya in bringing wazungu teams to open our stadium. If they want to play here, they should sponsor themselves not at the expense of a country that cannot pay its teachers and doctors.
If we must invite foreign teams, then in the spirit of Pan-Africanism, why not invite the Africa Cup of Nations champions Senegal, or our neighbours from the East African Community?
We should ask their governments to honour us by sending and covering the cost of their national teams to come play at the opening of an expensive stadium that was never even a priority.
Better still, why not organise a week-long football tournament for young footballers from every county, with prize money of KSh 5 million or more?
Talanta Stadium is ours. We will not allow our taxes to pay for foreign teams.
I have instructed my lawyer to file a Freedom of Information (FOI) request to obtain the full cost of this proposed exhibition match. I refuse the wastage of taxpayers’ money, and I shall move to court if Ruto does not stop this hallucination.
We must invest in our own footballers. Talanta Stadium official opening match should be an opportunity for Kenyan players to shine not a stage to entertain Ruto’s fantasies of hosting
Bayern Munich and Ajax Amsterdam.
Football fans worldwide should also know this: since William Ruto took office in September 2022 through September 2026, police officers have killed 3,958 Kenyans. That averages nearly three Kenyans killed every day by the brutal police force working under Ruto’s regime.
These two teams should decline any invitation to do public relations for a government that kills its own citizens simply for demanding better governance.

Bayern will earn Ksh723.4m to play in Kenya to a point they are saying “for that kind of money, you have to do it”.
Assuming Ajax will earn close to that, Kenya could spend well above Ksh1.5b to host the two teams in Kenya on Jan 5.
Bayern will receive €5m for the trip to Nairobi, Kenya to play a friendly against Ajax on January 5th. Vincent Kompany approved the trip, which was then handled by Marketing and sales director Rouven Kasper. 'For that kind of money, you have to do it', it was said at Säbener Straße [@mano_bonke]

The data to me says that if anything the issue of Israel is helpful to El-Sayed in Michigan.
He does better among voters who say it's extremely impt to their vote than overall.
Most Mich voters & indies want military aid ended or reduced to Israel.
AIPAC is deeply unpopular.

“Oh my God, Messi. It’s not even close....”
“Ronaldo’s unbelievable. He’s an unbelievable goal scorer. Messi scores goals, he gets assists, he embarrasses people. You still haven’t seen them both playing now? It’s not great for your GOAT....”
BWP didn’t even hesitate when Ocho asked who’s the greatest of all time between Messi and Ronaldo. He said:
“Oh my God, Messi. It’s not even close.”When they pressed him on why, he broke it down simply:
“Forget stats. At football first touch, taking players on, creating for teammates, everything the game needs. Everything you do in the game that makes you great, Messi’s better than Ronaldo. If you bring both of these players to the park, you don’t know who they are, you ain’t got a clue. You just bring them both, give them a ball. I promise you, you walk away from the park saying the little guy there is way better than that tall guy there.”He kept going:
“Ronaldo’s unbelievable. He’s an unbelievable goal scorer. Messi scores goals, he gets assists, he embarrasses people. You still haven’t seen them both playing now? It’s not great for your GOAT.”When the conversation turned to why so many people still lean toward Ronaldo off the pitch the haircut, the ankle tape, the long-sleeve jersey, the whole look BWP explained it straight:
“You can see yourself working to be like Ronaldo. Messi is an alien. Forget trying to be like him. It’s not going to happen, just admire him. You can be Ronaldo. Messi is God-given talent. It’s like somebody touched him and you’re just special.”
Even with Ocho bringing up Mourinho preferring Ronaldo which I heavily disagree with, Mourinho is known to constantly glaze Messi all the time. He doesn't even talk about Ronaldo half as much as he talks about Messi and that's across mutiple interviews, across mutiple clubs. He still says it everytime that there's no one like Messi. BWP stayed firm. The difference, according to him, isn’t about who has more goals or who looks more marketable. It’s about who you can actually see playing football and immediately know is on another level. The little guy who makes everything look effortless, who creates, who scores, who makes people around him better and who still looks like the best version of the sport when you just put a ball at his feet.

Norah Borus Chelagat (born June 7, 1995) was an exceptionally brilliant Kenyan computer scientist and academic prodigy, who hailed from Moiben, Uasin Gishu County.
Before 2019, she had achieved national celebrity status in Kenya due to her academic excellence.
Norah was the last-born child of highly accomplished professionals. Her father, Professor Peter Borus, is a prominent polio specialist and researcher at the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI). Her mother, Dr. Dinah J. Borus, is a graduate-educated agronomist who worked with the Ministry of Agriculture.
Chelagat attended Precious Blood Girls High School, Riruta, one of Kenya's top-performing national schools, and in the 2013 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations, she emerged as the best-performing female candidate in Nairobi County and was ranked 4th overall nationally.
Following her spectacular results, she joined the prestigious Equity Bank African Leadership Programme in 2014, a selective pipeline designed to mentor Kenya's brightest minds for global impact.
While her excellent national grades traditionally would have directed her toward a medical degree in Kenya, Norah chose to follow her passion for technology and secured a scholarship to Stanford University in California, entering in late 2015.
At Stanford, she proved her academic capability by enrolling in a demanding co-terminal program, which allowed her to fast-track her studies, graduating with a First Class Honours degree in Engineering while simultaneously finishing a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
Norah was heavily involved in tech-for-good initiatives, collaborating with Stanford's CS + Social Good group to build an SMS platform for Sanergy, a company scaling hygienic sanitation solutions in Kenyan informal settlements.
Aside from programming, she was an active vocalist, part of the Stanford Center for African Studies, and loved mentoring youth by teaching nine-week coding camps in Nairobi during her summer breaks.
In June 2019, a video emerged online that Norah had recorded detailing her life abroad. In it, she spoke candidly about feeling deeply disconnected in the United States.
"Before Stanford, I had never gone out of Kenya," she expressed.
She mentioned that while people on campus were nice, she deeply missed Kenya, the food, and the distinct warmth of the people. She remarked on a unique feeling of security she felt back home that was missing in the U.S.: "There is a certain feeling you get while in Kenya... like people are waiting for you."
Few days before Friday, June 14, 2019, Norah uncharacteristically dropped out of touch.
Because Norah was a highly active student, she was a vocalist, a mentor, and heavily involved with the African Studies Center. Dropping out of contact or missing planned gatherings completely during Commencement (Graduation) Weekend, when campus life was intensely social, immediately raised red flags for those close to her.
As an international student who relied heavily on messaging apps (like WhatsApp) to stay connected with both her campus friend groups and families back home in Kenya, suddenly going "dark" and failing to respond to repeated texts, phone calls, or knocks on a dormitory door gave a primary reason her friends to contact residential advisors, and campus police.
The Stanford University Police Department entered Norah Borus's room on Friday afternoon, June 14, 2019, for a
welfare check.
Following protocol when an occupant does not respond to repeated knocks, university officials and police officers utilized a master key to enter her private residence hall room at Kimball Hall.
Inside her room, officers discovered the 24-year-old Norah lying completely lifeless, and deceased after consuming poison.
