GM beautiful people! ☀️😃 Woke up to some great news today! 22 people have now joined the waitlist for Scenes!! 🥳🚀 We were at 14 yesterday, so seeing more people sign up overnight feels amazing! Super happy to see that people are finding the idea useful. Honestly, can’t wait to get this into your hands! 🫶 Btw, if you haven’t signed up yet, the waitlist is FREE and gets you 50% off the launch price! 😁 👉 scenesmac.com But here’s the thing: I know Scenes can be incredibly useful, but execution matters A LOT. If switching between workspaces isn’t seamless, snappy, and efficient, it can quickly become frustrating. And that’s exactly what I’m working on now! Won’t get much building time this weekend, so I’ll try to focus on fixing a few specific issues today and hopefully spend more time engaging with you lovely people here on X! 😁 And a little reminder for myself (and maybe for you too): A great idea gets people interested. But a great experience is what makes them stay. Keep paying attention to the little things. They matter more than you think! Have a fantastic Saturday and an amazing weekend, legends! I’m rooting for you all 🫶

Day 16 of Building in Public 🚀 WE DID IT!! 🥳 After weeks of building, I finally launched the waitlist for my Mac app, Scenes, today! And guess what? 14 people have already signed up!! 🥹🚀 Honestly, I’m incredibly grateful for all the positive feedback and support I’ve received today. You guys are AMAZING! 🫶 Btw, joining the waitlist is completely FREE, and you’ll get an exclusive discount on the launch price! So do sign up! 👉 scenesmac.com Anyway, here’s today’s update: 💻 Scenes (Mac App) → Launched the waitlist! 🎉 → Listed Scenes on MacBase → The app is now around 80% ready! Still need to finish onboarding and payment flow, fix few bugs, polish the finer details, and test everything properly. Hoping to get it ready next week and launch for everyone the week after! 🤞 🚀 Launch Indie Apps Didn’t get much done here today, but that’s fine! Scenes was the priority, and I’m super happy with how things went! 😁 A little reminder for myself (and maybe for you too): Don’t wait for everything to be perfect. Put your work out there, learn from feedback, and keep improving! Have a fantastic Friday evening, legends! I’m rooting for you all 🫶

Want this for yourself? Good news: It's already a Mac app now called Scenes  → no reopening apps or dragging windows every switch → tabs & windows come back as you left them → an AI-native dock holds pings from other modes Sign up for free waitlist: scenesmac.com
experimenting with a lil personal project: an AI-native macOS dock with custom modes (writing, building, etc.) to help me stay focused my agent is able to customize mode behavior and add new modes, it uses jev to classify my activity + notifications in real time & act on them

Your Mac's Dock has no idea what you're working on. The AI-native Scenes dock does 🤯 → notifications from other Scenes wait → open YouTube mid-coding and it asks: stay or switch? → new sites sort themselves into the right Scene All on-device, with Apple Intelligence.

The boring but important bits: → no account, no analytics → no Screen Recording permission → the AI runs on your Mac → pay once, 7-day refund → macOS 15 and later After the waitlist it's $9.99 for the first 25 licences, then $14.99.

Get the popcorn ready 🍿🤩 🫶 Spend some time engaging with you lovely people here on X. Have a fantastic Friday, legends! I’m rooting for you all 🫶

Day 15 of Building in Public 🚀 Tomorrow is launch day for my Mac app waitlist!! 🥳 Been working towards this for weeks, and we’re finally almost there! 💻 Mac App → Finished the launch video for tomorrow! 🎬 → Made a major feature update to the app, which meant updating quite a bit of the landing page content and design. Thankfully, that’s now sorted too! 😁 → Still need to prepare the launch post, but I’ll take care of that tomorrow morning. Super happy I managed to finish the two most important things today 😄 🚀 Launch Indie Apps → Did some keyword research and found something interesting. People search for “free alternatives” far more than “cheaper alternatives.” So instead of creating new pages, I updated the existing Strong, YNAB, and Day One alternative pages to target both search intents. Didn’t get much else done here today. Most of my focus was on getting the Mac app ready for tomorrow. And I’m totally fine with that! One more sleep before the waitlist goes live! 🚀 Hope you all had a productive Thursday, legends! Rooting for you all 🫶

We live in a weird time. Coders want to be founders. Founders want to be coders. MacBook wants to be an iPad. iPad wants to be a MacBook. AI builds an app in a weekend. App Review takes a week to approve it. We use AI to turn 3 lines into a long email. They use AI to turn it back into 3 lines. We left cable to escape ads. Now we pay for subscriptions and still watch ads. And somehow, all of this is supposed to make sense. 🤷‍♂️
