On Thanksgiving weekend 2026, Albertans learned that almost the entire Alberta Separatist movement was really just three Russian data centres in a trench-coat.

Let's just stop and ponder how impressive this really is for Europe: they have created a product that is demonstrably worse than Teams.
The European Commission has rolled out an alternative to Microsoft Teams.
But officials using it aren't impressed, with one describing the tool as “absolute shit.”

A historic day for Ukraine-Australia relations
Today in New York, President @ZelenskyyUa and Prime Minister @AlboMP signed a Bilateral Security Agreement — a powerful expression of Australia’s enduring commitment to Ukraine.
This is about more than supporting Ukraine today. It is about building a long-term strategic partnership.
Australia announced additional AUD 60 million (USD 42 million) in support — including $45 million in military kit, $10 million for Ukraine’s Energy Support Fund and $5 million in humanitarian assistance. Australia will also join the UK- and Norway-led Maritime Capability Coalition for Ukraine.
And importantly, this is a two-way partnership. Ukraine has developed one of the world’s most innovative and battle-tested defence forces. The lessons Ukraine has learned on the battlefield — from drones and AI to maritime capabilities and modern warfare — are highly relevant to Australia’s own security.
The Australian Government has also today imposed additional sanctions on Russia, bringing our total to almost 1,900 sanctions on Russia and its supporters, and almost 300 shadow fleet vessels listed.
I am deeply grateful @AlboMP @RichardMarlesMP @SenatorWong for their support.

Eva Braun Nose.
The Natalie Harp story started off as a joke, a sign of how pathetic Trump has become.
But the latest revelations show that she's really quite dangerous.
She knows how to manipulate the doddering narcissist, and it's scary.

I disagree with this.
Obviously the openAI construction of the Navier-Stokes blow up is a huge, huge contribution to the field. It will take us PDE analysts some time to understand it well. (Longer than a week, but perhaps less than a month.)
Soon some of us will understand it, and hopefully rewrite it in a way that others can follow. When this is done, our human understanding of these important equations will be past the bottleneck we've been stuck at for 100 years since Leray.
What is weird is that, up until now, proofs like this have always emerged AFTER human understanding. But that is not the case any more. From now onwards, human understanding will typically lag the proofs, which will first be written by our machines.
The understanding however WILL follow closely behind.
The reason people are upset has nothing to do with the fact that this process is inverted. They are simply upset that the machines are going to be much smarter and more capable than us.
(They are also upset that the humans who got the machine to produce the proof don't understand it, and this feels very unfair to them.)
