We need feminism, because of ideologies like this that are deeply rooted in misogynistic and other repressive frameworks. It needlessly places arbitrary limitations on human beings and women are affected more asymmetrically in systems rooted in these frameworks. Tragic 💔

Melika Azizi, an 18-year-old Iranian protester, faces the death penalty after being arrested during nationwide anti-government demonstrations and accused of burning the Islamic Republic's flag. Azizi was arrested on January 9, 2026, in Masal, Gilan province, northern Iran, before being transferred to Lakan Prison in Rasht. She was accused of moharebeh, meaning “waging war against God.” Azizi confronted the judge during her proceedings, declaring: “You let so many young people bleed. How can I remain silent? I don't care. Just kill me.” She was denied contact with her family and access to legal representation, while her relatives faced pressure from security authorities.

When you look at this remember this is a woman most likely imprisoned in this dehumanising fabric by her family. She hates this even more than you.

When I say repressive frameworks, I mean frameworks that impose upon the masses needless limitations, whether it's about bodily autonomy or listening to music. It can vary and it can be better or worse but we don't need any of it! Embrace freedom. embrace reason and embrace love!

Nobody will behead them. Even if you have the sex in a cathedral in the Vatican city, nobody will behead you.
So if two people were caught having illicit sex in a church people will just look, laugh and pass? 🤔

If you go to a peaceful protest, and it turns into a riot, and you stay at the riot and participate in the riot it isn't a "mostly peaceful protest", it's a riot and you are a rioter.

#BREAKING : Saudi Arabia Executes Two Bangladeshi Nationals Over ‘Having Sex’ Inside Mecca Mosque Saudi Arabia has announced the execution of two Bangladeshi nationals convicted of committing what authorities described as a “sexual act” inside a mosque in the holy city of Mecca. In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Saudi Ministry of Interior identified the individuals as Nazrul Islam Abdul Basir and Siti Akhtar. According to the ministry, security authorities arrested the two following the incident. They were subsequently charged after an investigation and later executed, the statement said. #SaudiArabia #Mecca #Bangladesh #Sex

Saudi authorities confirmed executing Nazrul Islam Abdul Basir and Siti Akhtar on Oct 14 for an "immoral act" inside a Mecca mosque. The video is unrelated footage of pilgrims at the Kaaba, not the incident. english.ajel.sa/saudi-arabia/9… khaleejtimes.com/world/gulf/sau…

To those who claimed that no woman in Iran has ever been flogged for refusing to wear the hijab: LOOK AT HER BACK. This woman is one of the brave members of my #WhiteWednesdays campaign against compulsory hijab. She sent me this photo of her scarred back after being punished with 74 lashes for the “crime” of showing her hair. Holding a Woman, Life, Freedom slogan, she refused to be silenced. Here is her testimony: “The morality police arrested me for resisting their van. My ‘crime’ was unveiling. After months of court hearings, I was sentenced to 74 lashes. The cleric overseeing the punishment stood there to ensure it was carried out. I won’t give up my fight against this brutal regime, but we are fed up with living as prisoners in our own homeland.” Seventy-four lashes. For showing her hair. In the 21st century. This is barbarism. And you tell me, how is this different from ISIS?
