I’ve written to @premierleague Chief Executive Richard Masters demanding action on poverty chanting following Everton’s game against Chelsea.
Everton & Liverpool supporters have endured this class prejudice for years. Mocking families who cannot afford to put food on the table is shameful.
Through Fans Supporting Foodbanks, supporters stand together to feed our communities. The Premier League must show the same solidarity & leadership.
Hunger doesn’t wear colours. It’s time our game acted like it.

🚨 NEW: Andy Burnham tells muslim leaders that they have "lived through some of worst examples of division" and promises to appoint an "Anti-Muslim Hostility adviser."
• Prime Minister Andy Burnham hosted Muslim community leaders at Downing Street with Communities Secretary Angela Rayner for his first such roundtable since entering office.
• He said Muslim communities had "lived through some of the worst examples of division" and casual hatred, particularly on social media, and that the country could not have another decade of division.
• Burnham described some language used by political rivals about the community as "completely unacceptable" and said the government wanted to counter hatred, discrimination and Islamophobia.
• He pointed to plans to appoint an anti-Muslim hostility adviser and discussions about a national memorial marking the contribution of Muslims to British war efforts in the First and Second World Wars.
• Representatives from groups including the British Muslim Trust and the Muslim Women’s Network attended.

The year is 2028. Burnham’s financial support for Poundland in 2026 was conditional on them maintaining prices at £1. However, with costs now exceeding the £1 per product mark the government’s investment is at risk and Burnham introduces a 5p levy on every £1 spent at Waitrose.
Are you a landlord? 🏠
From 15 December, if you’re a landlord of an assured or regulated tenancy in England, you must register yourself and each of your properties through the new service on GOV.UK by the deadline for your region. Letting agents can’t register on your behalf.
You’ll need to give details of your properties, like:
• the address 🔑
• the number of tenants and bedrooms 🛏️
• the amount of rent you're receiving for a property 💷
• gas and electricity safety certificates ⚡
You may be asked to provide energy performance certificates (EPCs) if your details can't be found on the EPC register.

Sir Martin Sorrell is one of the UK’s top businessmen.
He sees nothing in Labour’s likely budget offering to help the economy, laments the economic decline of Europe and quickly rubbishes the UK’s “highest growth in the G7” mantra.
Worth a watch.
