🎶 Part concept album, part memoir, part immersive concert, Avi Amon’s 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿/𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱 is a striking act of emotional memory. 💛 Using cassette tapes his parents carried when they immigrated from Istanbul in 1979, Amon crafts a moving musical meditation on family and grief, beautifully exploring how memory, much like an old tape, can warp, distort, and overwrite itself over time. 📼✨ 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿/𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱 was developed with support from Reboot Studios, The Bushwick Starr, MacDowell, Mercury Store, New Jewish Culture Fellowship, New York Theatre Workshop and The Workshop. This performance taking place on July 17–18 is part of The Shed’s Open Call Series. Tickets to are free with a reservation. Learn more at link in bio or: theshed.org/program/524-moth… 🎥 Video: Tara Kutz. Courtesy The Shed. **Please note: Performance on July 17 is sold out but day-of tickets will be available at the box office prior to each performance. Seating is first come, first served. Please arrive early. A reservation does not guarantee admission. 𝘋𝘰𝘰𝘳𝘴 𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘯 30 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘶𝘵𝘦𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 // 𝘙𝘶𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦: 65 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘶𝘵𝘦𝘴 // 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘭𝘶𝘥𝘦𝘴 𝘩𝘢𝘻𝘦 𝘦𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘴.
