Our country’s successful growth is intrinsically linked with our cities, towns and communities – that's why #CDNMuni need a new Municipal Growth Framework to continue leading on Canada’s national challenges like housing and homelessness, infrastructure, climate change and more.

Thank you to FCM's Board and committee members who generously donated children's books to our Canada by the Book project. The project, sponsored by @MunicipalWorld, provides free books to a public library or school in communities across the country. The books collected at this week Board meeting will be donated to @OurYellowknife's public library.

Along with FCM'S fierce advocacy, I would ask for particular attention be given to mid-sized cities throughout Canada as they have experienced decreased funding yet are key to a growing population.
FCM is calling on the federal government to convene provincial, territorial and municipal leaders to negotiate a Municipal Growth Framework that would improve affordability and quality of life for Canadians by enabling municipalities to take concrete action on housing affordability, homelessness and climate change. fcm.ca/growth #CDNmuni #CDNpoli
