Let’s not lose sight of what the real cancer at Manchester United is.
The reason that we have the worst full-backs in the Premier League is *not* Michael Carrick.
The reason we are £1.3bn in debt (and rising) is *not* Michael Carrick.
The reason we didn’t sign a badly needed defender and ended up with an injured midfielder to replace Casemiro is *not* Michael Carrick.
The reason we don’t have a world class manager and our recruitment is a shitshow is *not* Michael Carrick.
Michael Carrick is an average manager who was appointed on the cheap after bouncing us back into a decent position as another plug-in-and-play interim legend that fans will tolerate. He’s someone who can be fobbed off, will accept the transfers he’s given and will toe the party line because, honestly, he’s found himself in his dream job and loves the club like Solskjaer before him.
The real issue is and always will be the bastards in the boardroom stunting the club’s growth, making minimum, interest-only payments on the ever mounting debt and gaslighting the supporters with false promises while pocketing massive dividends.

That’s Nigel Farage celebrating a Reform UK plot to break election law - by having a US company secretly pay for three influential political polls that benefitted the party.
Earlier in the investigation, Reform’s Head of Policy James Orr and senior advisor Dan Jukes arranged for a Verbatim reporter to pay for the polls through a US company. Orr and Jukes believed the firm was run by the reporter’s American father.
Mr Farage was filmed by undercover reporters from @Verbatim_Media as part of a year-long investigation that Channel 4 News has thoroughly checked and verified.
This meeting took place in his Clacton constituency in July - when Mr Farage was fighting a by-election he called after separate allegations about his finances.
