Non-Fever fans: Sides shouldn't have been fired! Fever fans are so mean to her!
Fever fans: Ok, then you can have her as your head coach!
Non-Fever fans: Absolutely not!
Look, I think Sides has some positives, but I don't think she's head coach material.
I went through my photos from the time I shot @XJapanOfficial's show in Toronto and now I'm really missing shooting shows...
There's a lot I like about this thread, even though I don't necessarily agree that the toxic elements are totally new (they aren't, there are just more now and they're getting amplified). A lot of people need to take a step back and try to treat others how we want to be treated.
If it's ok for A'ja fans to be upset/want to know who the 4th place MVP vote was last year, then it's ok for Clark fans to want to know who the voter was who didn't vote for her for RotY. Mostly, I think it's silly to get hung up on in both cases, but.
Ok these are so sweet! All of them, but especially Erica, Temi, and Kelsey.
On the one hand, I kind of want to play rogue in Veilguard because rogues are fun. On the other, I'm often TERRIBLE at aiming (for the bow) or hitting precise timing (possibly needed for dodge/parry) in games...so I might do my first play as a Mage instead?
I think Angel had a valid argument for an all-defensive team, and I've been saying that for a good chunk of the season. But do I think it's a really clear snub? Not really. I struggle to figure out who she'd replace on the list that got it. I assume she got votes.
Also, similarly to people taking CC's words in the worst possible way sometimes: I don't think Chiney was trying to blame Caitlin for her words "falling short" on First Take. I think she was saying that Caitlin speaking up can't really solve the problem alone.
And assuming that IS what she meant, which I think is a perfectly valid reading of her words, she's right. Caitlin Clark cannot solve this problem on her own. The league, the teams, others with power, need to figure out how to handle this.
I just want to note that I agree that there is a vocal subset of self-professed CC fans who are terrible and who I would like to get rid of (I think there's some in other fanbases, too, but). I just don't think it's fair or reasonable to blame her or expect her to fix it.
Also, it's worth noting that Clark, probably for her own sanity, has learned to tune out a lot of noise, even hate directed at her, herself. Given that, it's not remotely surprising that she isn't constantly aware of hate other people are getting or ready to respond to it.
