Something I’ve been thinking about in terms of this idea of ‘lack’ is that I don’t think it’s the subject who lacks. It’s the environment that the person comes into that lacks. It is nature & nurture themselves who lack. The subject becomes the force of life in a lacking world.

Idk if I want to co-sign ‘embrace your symptom’ as the goal of analysis anymore because many people’s symptom manifests as selfishness or being a dick. Embrace your lack is the real king.

The only thing more important to me in these times than preserving the value of thought is not being unbelievably pretentious and isolating about it. The former relies on the latter. In other words, thinking is cool, stop being annoying nerds about it.

YCSE is a real test of people’s thoughts on how much desire can be manipulated, and simultaneously, can we imagine women to have their own desire, even if we disagree with it.

A good enough parent lives at the intersection of: being present enough to fear that every choice is consequential and recognizing that no one’s life is decided through the ‘right’ sequence of progressive choices. It’s a finding peace in this impossible quagmire.
