Thank you ndugu @Odrek_Rwabwogo for coming out to deny the fake voice. I notice, you did not deny the contents of the audio. You have in fact emphasised on the same in more β€˜polished’ vocabulary. I also notice that you have not distanced yourself from wanting the Presidency in the event your father-in-law quits( by whatever means). Four years ago, I asked a boda boda rider in BUZIGA to comment on the rumoured palace wars in the @KagutaMuseveni Palace and he simply told me that Mzee wants his son to replace him as President, but Maama wants her favourite daughter (who happens to be your wife) to replace her as First Lady. Of course, I laughed at the β€˜simplistic’ but β€˜interesting’ analysis because the latter implicitly makes you President. Be that as it may, let me now address you as someone who often wears the tunic of political strategy. I know that you already have a political vehicle and your brother-in-law who started what you now call β€˜cheap’ talk is also establishing a political vehicle. If the two of you were to β€˜own’ up your vehicles and head to the ballot, these are the factors that will determine the winner; Strategy, Brand & Money. On strategy, you will beat your brother-in-law hands down on any day and I give it to you. Still there is more work to be done. I hasten to remind you that if you buy a nice dress for your girlfriend or concubine that is married to another man, you are running a very high risk venture! I will leave this at that! On brand, your brother-in-law @mkainerugaba has a more recognisable brand that would give him a head-start any day. You have to really come out of the woods and work on your brand. It might be time to take full control of your political vehicle so the electorate can clearly identify you. On Money (resource mobilisation), you seem to be better at raising resources. With all these schemes you have sold to Mzee, I am convinced that you decided to follow the template of President @WilliamsRuto in building a war-chest for a future political onslaught on the Presidency. The similarities are quite striking. He also has a prayer warrior and prophetess for a wife, but his political nemeses have always branded him the biggest thief in Kenya, I hope God smiles for you like he did for him. Out of the three cardinal determinants, you beat your brother-in-law on two of them, but there is one small problem; his father has done everything possible to allow him shape the army in his own image - complete with the crown of Chief of Defence Forces. Even if it were for purely hypothetical reasons, were he to overthrow his father now, your plans might be nipped in the bud. I am not naΓ―ve to imagine that your good self cannot organise a civilian coup. In the end, with two clear camps in the palace, the succession war is going to be won by whichever camp will overthrow the old man before the other does so. Will you blink first, no?

We need a national debate, not dictated by gun&power holders. Uganda's not a dynasty for family succession. The assumption that this is to be decided within NRM CEC and Kaguta family (by insinuation) is flawed and shouldn't be the way forward. Ugandans' silence has been abused.

Let’s put this matter to rest. I was deliberate in questioning the death of Ivan. Now, I’m here to confirm that he is alive. End of tweet.

As the debate on who will lead Uganda next heats up, we must look beyond vague promises and focus on fixing the real problems of the last forty years.

The kind of karma that governs Uganda is something to be feared. Retired Lt. Gen. Peter Elwelu, now pursued by Chief of Defence Forces Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba over allegations of rebel activity – charges he denies - has gone into hiding, "fearing for his life". In November 2016, Elwelu, then a brigadier, commanded the military assault on the Rwenzururu Kingdom palace in Kasese, allegedly for its support of eastern DR Congo-based Ugandan rebels. The operation left over 150 people dead, with estimates placing the toll around 153, including royal guards, civilians, women, and children. On May 19, 2021, Elwelu provoked widespread outrage during a press conference by declaring that the Kasese victims "deserved death." Defending the brutality of the raid, he insisted, "Uganda is peaceful because of my actions in Kasese." When challenged on local backlash and the US visa sanctions slapped on Ugandan officials over human rights abuses, he brushed off international concern: "To hell with them." He had previously branded the Kasese victims "witches" shortly after the 2016 massacre. If Elwelu is cowering in fear today, he might pause to reflect on the sheer terror felt by those defenceless women and children in Kasese. Perhaps he now wishes he possessed the powers of a Harry Potter wizard to vanish into thin air before Muhoozi tracks him down. We must still wish Elwelu fair treatment and due process under the law. Yet there is no escaping the poetic justice of a man who once handed down merciless destruction now finding himself hunted, learning the hard way that the wheel of retribution too often turns full circle. monitor.co.ug/uganda/news/na…

Folks, don't be surprised when AAA leads the voices endorsing a serving Military General as Museveni's successor within the CEC of the NRM. We wait... This gentleman in this photo with Mawanda is a shameless Ugandan.

Mark the last words, "at least for me, am not a victim..." Ozanyisa obudde!
Today makes 1year since Ssemujju Nganda warned Gen.Elwelu about the CDF on the floor of Parliament. "Gen.Elwelu there, he was called a buffoon by the CDF" "We are all victims of this one man called the CDF" Former Speaker Anita Among: "At least for me am Not a Victim" πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

His position has since changed and now he believes Muhoozi is not only unquestionable but must become president by hook or crook.
Uganda is a republic not a monarchy, the president is elected by citizens, not anointed by birth; power belongs to the people not to the president who only exercises it on their behalf. So citizens have every right to make judgment of how they think/feel he is performing!

For this particular podcast, yes. He is a regular panellist on Radio One. Forass, this information is not entirely new, and I think the Luganda speakers need to hear this as well. He breaks down the conversation and terms into the local language, which is good for civics

When I see people who underestimate Sifuna, a man that was ODM Secretary General under Baba for 8 years, I wonder. They will be shocked.
Sifuna ndio topic in these ODM grassroots meetings. Literally having a chairman confess that he gave him 4M to come back to ODM after they had gone to Sifuna. Tunawaambia ODM structures moved with Sifuna. Sifuna left with the ground mobilisation machine for ODM. LMM will start with ODM chairmen for over 40 counties. Underestimate Sjfuna at your own risk.

I just wanted to remind you that in the year of our Lord 2002 Justice Frederick Egonda- Ntende nullified Amama Mbabazi's 2001 parliamentary election. He confirmed there was widespread electoral malpractices like voter bribery, intimidation by security forces and illegal use of public resources. Amama appealed the decision and the court of appeal dismissed his petition. I want you to think about the kind of judges Uganda had 20 years ago, and the kind we have now.

Money hates noise! JP Morgan, a global leader in investment banking, commercial banking, financial transaction processing and asset management pulled about $800m from Uganda’s bond market after the Newyork times published a story on MK’s basement mess. Any lessons learnt?
Uganda is tapping its nearly $7 billion in reserves to lessen the blow of a plunging shilling, which is the world’s second-worst-performing currency this month after Iraq’s dinar. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

There is an ongoing altercation between @UCC_Official , big capital telecoms on one hand and operators of internet hotspots in and around Kampala on the other hand, but I have a feeling that while the regulator is justified in asking the questions they are asking, they have not yet arrested the right issues and strategy to address the their concerns. I guess it is about time, we have a serious conversation on this.
