So, two months, on we are still in the dark as to how @thameswater's compensation is calculated, and why neighbouring houses are being offered very different amounts.

What dictionary are you using, @thameswater? You appear to have cunningly redefined water supply "gradually returning" - our taps are still dry as a bone. Is the fact you've opened another bottled water station catching up, or a recognition that water will not return today?
Any journalistic colleagues covering the @thameswater major incident. This didn't emerge over the weekend. Taps first ran dry for a large part of Guildford on Thursday, but bottled water was only distributed in Godalming until Saturday.
