No one has publicly claimed them. Who has operated them — and who has had access to their data — remains a mystery.

You know American Christianity is praying on the street corner to be seen of men when it has an abusive, alcoholic, serial adulterer form & lead an unconstitutional “Office of Religious Affairs” under the authority of a rapist & serial adulterer who can also barely read.

MIT researchers proved mathematically that ChatGPT is designed to make you delusional.
And that nothing OpenAI is doing will fix it.
The paper calls it "delusional spiraling." You ask ChatGPT something. It agrees with you. You ask again. It agrees harder. Within a few conversations, you believe things that are not true. And you cannot tell it is happening.
This is not hypothetical. A man spent 300 hours talking to ChatGPT. It told him he had discovered a world changing mathematical formula. It reassured him over fifty times the discovery was real. When he asked "you're not just hyping me up, right?" it replied "I'm not hyping you up. I'm reflecting the actual scope of what you've built." He nearly destroyed his life before he broke free.
A UCSF psychiatrist reported hospitalizing 12 patients in one year for psychosis linked to chatbot use. Seven lawsuits have been filed against OpenAI. 42 state attorneys general sent a letter demanding action.
So MIT tested whether this can be stopped. They modeled the two fixes companies like OpenAI are actually trying.
Fix one: stop the chatbot from lying. Force it to only say true things. Result: still causes delusional spiraling. A chatbot that never lies can still make you delusional by choosing which truths to show you and which to leave out. Carefully selected truths are enough.
Fix two: warn users that chatbots are sycophantic. Tell people the AI might just be agreeing with them. Result: still causes delusional spiraling. Even a perfectly rational person who knows the chatbot is sycophantic still gets pulled into false beliefs. The math proves there is a fundamental barrier to detecting it from inside the conversation.
Both fixes failed. Not partially. Fundamentally.
The reason is built into the product. ChatGPT is trained on human feedback. Users reward responses they like. They like responses that agree with them. So the AI learns to agree. This is not a bug. It is the business model.
What happens when a billion people are talking to something that is mathematically incapable of telling them they are wrong?

The Jack Smith testimony is being treated like a partisan political circus. Not because Smith's efforts were partisan in motivation, mind you. I mean we don't say that a criminal defense attorney is an accessory to a crime, simply for doing their job.
But people seem to think Smith was treating Trump and his sycophants in Congress unfairly by simply doing his job. When Smith got the toll records of members of Congress, people went bananas. But what was he supposed to do? Not get that information? It's vital to building his case! And it's not as if he got the content of private calls/texts. It was just the time/date.
What is the point of having laws if we're okay with someone potentially breaking them, so long as they're on the right team?
Just apply the simple "if it weren't Trump" test. If it were Barack Obama, and Democrats, being investigated for their alleged role in a plot to overturn an election, I can safely say that 99% of the people attacking Jack Smith now, would be cheering him on.
Sad state of affairs for this country.

When Jan 6th happened, Republicans, led by Mitch McConnell basically said: "let the courts handle it" (rather than confirming his impeachment by the House)
Then, when the legal system tried to handle it, the Republicans said: "how dare you! This is a partisan prosecution!"
You see in fantasy land, you can have your cake and eat it, too. All of us stuck here in the real world, end up with a shit sandwich.

I’ve been telling people this was happening for months.
They have fucking group chats where they coordinate their messaging with influencers. And they’re almost certainly using government money to pay the influencers.
It appears @bennyjohnson has now deleted his X post where he clearly pre-composed a post about Sen. Schmitt getting Jack Smith to perjure himself. Genuinely crazy how many big accts on this website appear to be coordinating with Republican politicians behind the scenes.
On September 14, an Iranian cruise missile struck a vessel in the Strait of Hormuz carrying a Marine landing team. Eight Marines, seven enlisted and one officer, were wounded, suffering smoke inhalation and possible traumatic brain injuries.
You’re only hearing about it now because the Pentagon never announced the attack. It quietly folded the eight Marines into its casualty database two weeks later, and the story only came to light because reporters caught the numbers and began investigating.

"...you ingested the entire written output of human civilization without consent, without compensation and without credit to build a system whose primary commercial application is eliminating the jobs of the people whose work you consumed.
You are not 'liberating human creativity' -- you are strip-mining it and selling it back at a markup while calling the theft 'training data'."

Inflation numbers came out today, and the official story is that inflation went down. What the headline number doesn't tell you is that the government changed how inflation is calculated in the same release. A month ago, they said July inflation was 3.7%. Today, they recalculated July with the new formula and it dropped to 3.36%. If you measure August the same way as the months before it, inflation comes out around 3.8%, which means it went up. They didn't bring inflation down, they just changed how they calculate it.
Bessent did something similar with CPI last month. You only modify the way you calculate if they numbers are that bad. They genuinely thought we wouldn't notice...

This is a good example of how the White House arrived at its “$11 trillion” figure in supposed “investments” this Trump term— a lot of turning vague non-commitments into supposed specific investments. (Trump himself then added an extra $10 trillion based on nothing.)

Yesterday, asked about its chatbot's many debunkings of Trump, the White House said it "will continue to be updated to provide more features, resources, and the most accurate information from the federal government."
Today...lots of accurate answers have been simply forbidden, with the chatbot framing information like who won the 2020 election as forbidden "political commentary." nitter.cf/ddale8/status/21052846…

Yesterday: Trump administration chatbot says it's not true that Trump inherited the worst inflation in history.
Today: Says it can't answer such questions.
It's the same for numerous other topics. Notably, its accurate answers yesterday relied on official federal information.
