✅ DELIVERED: During the FY26 appropriations process, I secured over $20 million for critical infrastructure funding across southern Minnesota. In Congress, I’ll continue working to bring federal dollars home to #MN01.
I was proud to secure $4.3 million in federal funding through the FY 24 appropriations process for the County State Aid Highway 44 and U.S. Highway 14 Interchange project, helping make necessary safety improvements for residents and those traveling through Olmsted County.
On Friday, I joined local officials and community members who made this project possible to celebrate its groundbreaking. As Olmsted County continues to grow, we need infrastructure that improves mobility and keeps our neighbors safe, and this interchange project will do just that.
November is National Veterans and Military Families Month. As we recognize the brave men and women who have served our great nation, we also thank the families who support and stand beside them.
As a member of @HASCRepublicans, I’ll continue working alongside my colleagues to deliver for our service members, veterans, and their family members.
I had the chance to stop by the Jackson City Economic Development Office this week to discuss future development in the area and how I can support them through my role in Congress. Thanks for having me!
While in Luverne this week, I grabbed coffee with State Senator Bill Weber. It was great to catch up on the happenings in the area and speak with some community members about what they’re seeing in our southern Minnesota neighborhoods.
✅DELIVERED: My @HouseGOP colleagues and I championed H.R. 1, delivering meaningful legislation that strengthens our border security and keeps communities across America safe.
This afternoon, I joined the Minnesota National Security Ecosystem for a defense health roundtable to discuss the unique opportunity #MN01 has to become a defense health hub. With leading healthcare professionals and increased investments in our national defense, southern Minnesota stands at the center of innovation.
Thank you to the Minnesota National Security Ecosystem team for bringing together industry leaders to discuss the ways our state can continue to grow and merge these critical spaces.

.@RepFinstad has been a champion for manufacturers, helping deliver the most pro-growth, pro-manufacturing tax reforms in generations. Modernizing our permitting system will unleash the full potential of historic tax reform, bring more energy projects online, strengthen reliability and lower costs for manufacturers and families alike.
Yesterday’s roundtable and tour of Faribault Woolen Mill Co. allowed local manufacturers to highlight Working Families Tax Cuts wins for Minnesota manufacturers, including no tax on overtime and provisions credited with saving over 100,000 jobs statewide. We also discussed the need for permitting reform to strengthen our business climate.
Thank you to Jay Timmons and @ShopFloorNAM for organizing the event, and to Ross Widmoyer and the Faribault Mill team for the tour!
I recently had the opportunity to visit with the team at Emplify Health in Winona, where they focus on providing patient-centered, not-for-profit healthcare. Appreciated the chance to tour the clinic and discuss how I can continue to support them in Congress. Thanks for having me!

MORE WINNING FOR AMERICA 🇺🇸
@USDOT is working AROUND THE CLOCK to ensure American infrastructure is second to none
SHOUTOUT to @RepFinstad for partnering with us to get this project approved ⬇️
Amazing news for Red Wing! I advocated for this project and expressed my support to @SecDuffy earlier this year, and I’m excited to see federal dollars make their way to the First District.
Red Wing Port Authority and Red Wing Grain just received over $10 million from the Maritime Administration’s Port Infrastructure Development Program, funding that will help reconstruct critical barge infrastructure to increase loading speeds for corn and soybeans.

Salim Said, a co-conspirator in one of Minnesota’s largest fraud schemes, was prosecuted by @TheJusticeDept and sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for his role in Feeding Our Future. Said and his fellow fraudsters stole millions of taxpayer dollars meant to feed hungry children in need.
I’m grateful to see these criminals are being held accountable and brought to justice.

I am aware of and monitoring joint federal and local activity in Rochester related to potential fraud investigations. Fraudsters who have stolen from our neighbors in need will be held accountable.

Last week in Rochester, I met with Minnesota Realtors to get an update on housing markets and discuss the important work they’re doing to support real estate professionals across the state. I’m grateful to all our realtors and agents here in #MN01 who are working hard to provide housing opportunities for the folks across southern Minnesota!
I led my fellow Minnesota Congressional Republicans in sending a letter to Governor Walz urging him to reconsider his refusal to participate in the Education Freedom Tax Credit. These federal tax credits offer eligible taxpayers up to $1,700 annually for cash donations to nonprofit Scholarship Granting Organizations, contributing to tuition, books, supplies, tutoring, and special needs services.
31 states have opted in, while Governor Walz is denying Minnesotans additional resources that could expand educational opportunities and empower parents to make decisions in the best interest of their children. Read our full letter ⬇️
Appreciated the opportunity to join the Minnesota Broadcasters Association last week to hear directly from our local broadcasters about the challenges they’re facing and what they’re seeing in the industry.
For many Minnesotans, especially in rural communities, local radio and television broadcasting stations are some of the most trusted and accessible sources for information. I was proud to cosponsor and help pass the AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act in the House to keep AM radio in our tractors and vehicles, and will continue to support the local stations our communities depend on.

Wishing our first responders here in #MN01 a happy National First Responders Day! Today, we recognize the brave men and women across southern Minnesota and the country who work tirelessly to keep our families, friends, and neighbors safe. Thank you for all you do!
