FHWA Administrator Sean McMaster joined @UtahDOT Commissioner Carlos Braceras on-site to tour the I-215 West Improvement Project, which has officially reached 60% completion.
Under @USDOT @SecDuffy's leadership, FHWA is using every federal tool to maximize roadway capacity, clear bottlenecks, and deploy American technology to save drivers time and money.
Backed by nearly $175M in federal formula funds (93% of the total $187.5M investment), this corridor revitalization delivers:
➡️ Accelerated Engineering: Alleviating key regional chokepoints ahead of late summer 2027 completion.
➡️ Smart Tech: UDOT is using innovative software pushing real-time lane/ramp closure alerts directly to Waze, Google Maps, and Apple Maps to minimize disruption.
➡️ Economic Mobility: Keeping freight and commuters moving efficiently to eliminate costly delays.
