America’s manufacturing gap isn’t machining capacity. It’s capital for greenfield product factories. We financed 2,300 plant projects in WWII. Here’s how recovered federal fraud could fund a New Industrial Deal for rural America and its young workers.

The fully loaded cost of Chinese actuators after duties and shipping is what matters. Not the $300 actuator list price. The cost after ~$120 import duties (37.5% to 41.5%) and ~$50 international shipping if you order just one. You need 30 per humanoid. Design American.

This is the modern day equivalent to being in a Myspace Top 8.

American Actuators. No compromises. Not assembled, made here.
American glass. American metal. American silicon. American batteries. American workers. American everything. BlueChip is the first American computer in decades. Don't let anyone lie to you and say it can't be done. Designed in California. Built in America.

Listen, you don't build millions of actuators waiting for a term sheet. You bootstrap it and go until you physically run out of money. We're two years in and not going anywhere anytime soon. The robotics market hasn't even started yet. We're at the Hit Clips stage of iPhones.

Why are we pretending that "owning the full stack of hardware" is capital efficient in robotics startups? It's not. Actuators should work off-the-shelf so your team can focus on controls and applications. It's how we get to abundant physical AI systems.

If it was easy, it wouldn't be fun.

Not sure who needs to hear this, but American capital is moving too slow to invest in the machines needed to beat our largest adversaries. We don't need IP capture, we need CNC machines.

McMaster ships your order before you are finished thinking you need it. That's how good they are.
McMaster just solved a problem for me in a very fast and magical feeling way I look up to them in a huge way, and when I think of the bar we are aiming for with customer support, they are who immediately comes to mind

I mean, don't listen to us. Listen to Ryan. Generational wealth will be made by those who make for the makers of the next century. Component suppliers.
Physical AI is inevitable. But what happens when it succeeds? A massive overhaul in the supply chain to support its scale. We’ve already seen these market dynamics in the 20th century with automakers + tier 1 suppliers. That will happen for robotics in the 21st century.

As American as Apple Pie. 🦾 🇺🇸 🦾 (Tastes like WD-40 though. We are going to win.)

Unitree is subsidized manufacturing. That specifically means that government policies and government money are fueling their ability to take raw material and turn it into functional technology. Shipped units above all else. US equivalents try to figure out how to get custom bearings from Shenzhen to eek out 1% optimization of thermal load while Unitree and other competitors ship thousands of robots inside of domestic Chinese markets. We're overly reliant and it's an economic, security, and sovereignty risk. Fund companies buying machines, not just IP. Stop pretending we can't catch up, we can. Start betting on the American builders who know how to make things. If your bill of materials is reliant on an adversary, you are going to have a very bad time when the adversary is adversarial.

This is what happens when you let the Brooklynites build bots. We're honestly here for it. Can't wait for Voxel to fetch us a bagel and yell "I'm walkin' here" at the dogs.
Engineering Voxel means crafting character into the machine. Inside Tuesday Labs, world-class engineers team up with legendary Hollywood animators to shape how he moves, communicates, and lives in the home. The team drew from their favorite characters in film and literature, human-robot-interaction research, etiquette guides, and their own experience building robots to create Voxel. Inside the making of Voxel.
