This has been a rough football season for my athletic training colleagues in Guilford County (NC). Cardiac arrest, multiple severe injuries and now this.

Wilkes Central athletic trainer Grant Yarbrough was in the weight room on May 4 when an athlete went into cardiac arrest. He began CPR while coaches ran to get the AED. #SaferSidelines

Our Annual On Field Emergency In-Service was a huge success. Athletic Trainers from Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, Wake Forest University, & Winston Salem State University as well as providers from @WakeForestOrtho participated in this training to keep our sidelines safe.
Afternoon at the NC Coaches Clinic teaching in the Injury Management Program with @JBaz68. Covered medical emergencies along with airway management and Narcan administration. Many thanks to @FCES_EMS and @GuilfordEMS for their help today.
