This revisionism has to stop. Fans even made a documentary because they hated the prequels and the special editions so much.
My dad told me how disappointed everyone was when TPM came out and how everyone said it sucked. He still hates the prequels to this day.

A literal documentary was made about how much Star Wars fans hated the prequels. Your bubble is not reality.
Is it really necessary to clarify that there is a small minority of people who aren't misogynists that may have good faith criticisms regarding Rey?
Can you not be hyperbolic on here when talking about the overwhelming majority? Rey hate IS misogyny bruh. Go kick rocks
If TFA was about a guy named Ray who did the exact same things and had the exact same story, none of these chuds would have spent the last 11 years hating on the character.
Rey's first and only "crime" is being a woman. That makes her entire story inexcusable to them
I think the point is that you don't have to see him again. He shows us that anyone can wield the Force and anyone across the galaxy can carry the spark of hope.
"Confronting fear is the destiny of a Jedi."
Luke tells Rey that she must face Palpatine, just like he had to face Ben on Crait to confront his own fear and past failure after Yoda counseled him. 🤌

“Good pilots were expected to follow orders. But that's not what discipline really means.
Imperial discipline was really nothing more than the conscious crushing of your own morals so that you'd be willing to do things that no right-thinking person ever would. When I realized that, I wanted out.”
- Wedge Antilles, STAR PILOTS
“I should never have joined the Imperial Academy. Yes, it helped me join the Rebel Alliance and then do my own small part in overthrowing the Empire. But I had no business being in an Imperial uniform.
I was so bored of hauling cargo around on freighters that were so big and heavy they could barely turn. I wanted something more interesting and exciting. So, when the opportunity to fly something else came, I took it.
I knew what the Empire was. Deep down we all must have known. But I saw an opportunity to try and do something that might help people, protect them from smugglers and pirates, perhaps make the galaxy a bit better.
And I could use my strongest skills to do it.
I wasn't wrong to want to fly and fight against evil or injustice. I was just wrong in thinking I could do that in Imperial service.”
- Wedge Antilles, STAR PILOTS
