In the early days of conceptualizing the look of the Zyuranger suits in 1991, Katsushi Murakami included rhombus elements throughout the body, arms and legs of the Rangers, inspired by the fangs of dinosaurs. These would evolve into the shapes seen on the gloves, boots and torso.
This reminds me of the artist Robert Bradford's PR statue made for the 20th Anniversary.
It was made of 600+ Power Rangers Samurai figures and took over 200 hours to complete, before being exhibited at London's Toy Fair in 2013.
This was back when I used to get copied in on press releases.😂

I struggle to reconcile the fact that TMNT was still dropping new episodes at the same time that Power Rangers was filming its second movie.
I don’t recall any aspect of TMNT being in pop culture in 1996, never mind actually being on TV.

Did you know that one of the sound effects used for the roar of the Tyrannosaurus Dinozord in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers was actually that of a bull bellowing?
The bull was recorded in the mid 1980's and has been used in hundreds of TV shows and films ever since.
