A side of Susan Collins that for some reason doesn't tend to make it into print. (Because it's uncouth to tell the truth about Maine's senior senator.) #MEpolitics
So Trump's DOJ, while helping shield Epstein perps and shutting down big corruption probes, has found the time and energy to send an FBI agent to Petersberg Alaska to track down a donor to the other Sullivan campaign. Wild story by @JimMustian and @APjoshgoodman
โI donโt feel like Iโve been misled at all,โ the donor told @AP, adding he had no intention of calling the @FBI back but would let the agent who came to Petersburg to visit him โwaste his time trying to track me downโ

Mailer just shared with me from Elon Musk's America PAC says Susan Collins will deliver a "conservative Supreme Court" and keep "putting conservatives on the Supreme Court."

The fate of the U.S. Senate may come down to whether Maine voters care more about Donald Trump or having a senator who makes house calls about sewer upgrades at mobile home parks.
Some observations from the Susan Collins trail this week on CNN with @andersoncooper @JohnKingCNN
Keep up the vital reality checking, @NEWSMAX @Shelby_Wilder
Newsmax journalist Shelby Wilder on the situation in Oleshky:
Russia is using this humanitarian operation as a propaganda opportunity.
Moscow wants to portray itself as the rescuer of civilians in a city that it occupies, one it has destroyed and plunged into this humanitarian crisis.
And we need to be clear, Russia controls what we are going to be allowed to see.
Moscow appears to have brought in numerous Russian media compared to just the one American news outlet.

The difference is that the New York Times, which has a lot of credibility with left of center audiences, treated Alaska as a huge scandal while totally ignoring it in Nevada.
Can't get enough of this ratf*ck GOP Nevada mailer that makes it look like a left-wing candidate who shares a last name with the Dem candidate is endorsed by AOC.
It's not just Alaska - this crap is in the DNA of modern campaigns. thenevadaindependent.com/artโฆ

As a @Newsmax team headed into Oleshky (which I could not visit), I tried to provide some context from Kyiv on the realities of civilian life under Russian occupation, including the fears and risks surrounding evacuation.
Remarkable reporting by @Shelby_Wilder on @NEWSMAX as the network covers the evacuation from Oleshky.
"Why would some Ukrainians choose to stay in Oleshky? Because they fear being put in the hands of the Russians.
Even with the Ukrainian delegation on the ground, this being a U.S.-brokered ceasefire, these Ukrainians that have been in a war-torn city are afraid.
What if they could be subjected to filtration? What if they could be detained by Russian authorities going through screenings? Ukrainian men of fighting age fear they could be forced into Russian military recruitment as they try to leave. We are also hearing reports that civilians have been pressured to stay in Russia.
And again, the evacuation process that's taking place is not straightforward. Residents cannot go from occupied Ukraine into Ukraine because there is a front line. So civilians will be going from Oleshky through occupied Ukraine into Russia, into Belarus, and then back to Ukraine.
Newsmax is traveling with this humanitarian convoy, so we'll continue to bring you the latest updates as we get them."

What a betrayal. The US is not good to its word.
Breaking News: The Trump administration has detained dozens of Afghan immigrants in Louisiana โ including relatives of those who helped the U.S. military โ and plans to deport them to Afghanistan, according to U.S. officials. nyti.ms/4jPVvrw

You really are reminded just how local and just how temporary the Kherson ceasefire is when you leave the city after another remarkably quiet day to see this news.
Thank you, Emmanuel, for your condolences. Unfortunately, the death toll from the Russian strike on a commuter train in Dnipro has already risen to 14. And just a few hours ago, the Russians struck a residential neighborhood in Chernihiv with a drone and killed two girls. They were only 15 years old. In Kremenchuk, a Russian โshahedโ struck an apartment building. Tragically, three people were killed. My condolences to all those who lost their loved ones. In these three attacks alone, 56 people have been reported injured, including 10 children.
These are deliberate strikes against civilians, brazen in their cruelty, and the Russians are carrying them out right as the humanitarian operation in Oleshky is unfolding. Russiaโs signals are clear โ they want the war to continue, and everyone around the world must still work very hard to achieve major de-escalation through strong steps and appropriate pressure on the aggressor.
Peace is needed โ and for that to happen, Russia must end its war and terror.

We finally have an endorsement of Troy Jackson from Maine's sitting Democratic governor.
I was proud to vote early today in Farmington for:
โ
@PingreeHannah
โ
@TroyJackson207
โ
@dunlap4congress
โ
Scott Landry for ME House
โ
Bob Sullebarger for ME Senate
I encourage Maine people to vote for Democrats up and down the ballot who will stand up for our values and stand up to Trump.
This guy deserves a medal - South Carolina Trump rally attendee gives @FoxNews a surprise explanation for why he's there.
Tom Hoyle of @MadParkDesigns, thank you for your service.
A Mainer recalls Susan Collinsโ reaction to protestors in Bangor expressing concern about Brett Kavanaugh just before the Senate vote that would confirm him:
~
Susan Collins passed them on her way into the building. They were silent, calm, holding their signs, hoping for acknowledgement.
She sneered at them and muttered, โDonโt you people have jobs?โ
Thatโs where the Bill Green ad came from.
Folks have jobs. Plenty have two or three. They work hard, and still struggle. Many fall behind. And as hard as they work, they still have to find time to split and stack wood. Or else theyโll freeze.
Replying to @JordanWood
David Foley from Camden wrote an invaluable commentary on Facebook on the @billgreensmaine Collins ad:
~Folks in Maine are talking about old Bill Green mugging for the camera again, telling us Maineโs Senate election isnโt about โa cord of wood,โ and Troy Jackson, Maine Senate President for six years, a logger who worked years in the woods, โdoesnโt have the toolsโ to represent us in Congress.
Thing is, Bill didnโt write that himself. He just strutted live and read a script. He can be dismissed. A talking head. A mannequin with a mustache.
The elitism, the contempt for everyday working people โ that came from Susan Collins and the rich elites who pay her bills and pad her bank account. They wrote the script. That attitude is in their bones โ in her bones.
I encountered it through one of the best people I know, one of my closest friends, someone I love dearly, among the most hardworking, caring, honorable persons Iโve ever known.
She cares about people, about the world. Thatโs why she was one of a group lining the walkway to the Federal Building in Bangor, just before the Senate vote to confirm Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. Plenty of thinking people had ample reason to doubt Kavanaugh, to be alarmed.
Turns out they were right.
Susan Collins passed them on her way into the building. They were silent, calm, holding their signs, hoping for acknowledgement.

Thatโs what weโre voting on. Maineโs population is 0.4 percent of the U.S. More than 3 percent of all political spending in the country this year has been to shore up Collins, most of it from out of state, much of it from billionaires.
They think they can buy this Senate seat, and thereโs not a damn thing we can do about it.
Letโs show them theyโre wrong. ~
Witkoffโs great humanitarian doing his thing. Complicit @SenateGOP @HouseGOP #VoteBlue2026 to help save ๐บ๐ฆ and democracy.

2026 Watch-Today on @FoxNews - Asked about new @SenSusanCollins of Maine ad charging that "Troy doesn't have the tools he needs to be effective" in the Senate, Democratic rival @TroyJackson207 tells me "if taking away healthcare from people and getting us into foreign wars and giving billionaires tax cuts are the tools, then yeah, I don't have those tools"
