The US is ruled by two parties that both serve capital. Yesterday, people voted, yet today Americans are still ruled by the same system that puts profits over people. Democracy under capitalism is an illusion. Elections do not transfer power to the people or result in major policy changes. They simply protect, preserve, and fortify the power of capital. China is governed by one party, but that one party actually serves the people making China more democratic than the US dictatorship of capital will ever be. It is better to be governed by one party that actually serves the people than to be ruled by two parties that both serve the rich.

Chris hoping for something that’s impossible to achieve!
The Democrats may have taken control of the House and the Senate, they may have humiliated Donald Trump and the Republican Party, but the real fight is only beginning. It is not simply a battle to hold the corrupt Trump regime to account, something that can only be done if the Democrats are willing overcome their reluctance to carry out impeachment proceedings against the president. It is also a battle to sweep away the corporate-indentured hierarchy of the Democratic Party, including Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries. The Democratic Party since the presidency of Bill Clinton, who gave us the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), the greatest betrayal of the working class since the 1947 Taft-Hartley Act, and gutted New Deal-era welfare programs such as the Aid to Families with Dependent Children, is a more polished version of corporate and oligarchic rule, abjectly subservient to the war machine, the Israel lobby and their funders in the billionaire class. The country is broken. Corruption, in both parties, is endemic. Federal agencies have been hollowed out and destroyed. The courts, including the Supreme Court, have been handed over to right-wing ideologues. The working class is crippled with debt peonage and substandard wages. Constitutional norms and protections have been erased. Billionaires, including Trump, pay little to no income tax. The 2010 Citizens United Supreme Court ruling, which allows big business to fund their hand-picked candidates, sustains a system of legalized bribery. The public may clamor for a raise in the minimum wage, Medicare for All, regulation of the big banks and private equity firms, an end to arms shipments to Israel and campaign finance reform, but no one in the leadership of the Democratic Party listens or cares. They serve their paymasters. Will cutthroat capitalism, sold to us under the sanitized name of neoliberalism, be allowed to continue to impoverish the citizenry and funnel wealth upwards into the hands of the 1 percent? Will corporations be regulated and policed? Will corporate criminals be brought to trial? Will our democracy be restored? Or will the grotesque sight of a trillionaire, Elon Musk, gutting federal agencies and pouring hundreds of millions into elections to try and control the outcome be normalized? The handful of politicians who attempt to confront the corruption and the devastation visited on the American working class through deindustrialization and deregulation, such as Bernie Sanders, see their campaigns sabotaged by the Democratic Party leadership, including Barack Obama. We must demand that progressive candidates, including Michigan senator-elect Abdul El-Sayed and Maine’s Troy Jackson, build coalitions to oust the Democratic Party leadership, raise the minimum wage, enact universal health care, prosecute corporate crime and impeach Trump. It will be up to us. The Democratic Party hierarchy will see the results not as a repudiation of Trump, but an endorsement of the flaccid and ineffectual position of a party that stands for little and fights for less. This would be yet another betrayal by the Democrats of voters. It would keep alive the very real prospect of another fascist, one better organized and more intelligent, taking the White House in two years. Of course, this fight will mean not only jettisoning a corrupt Democratic Party leadership, but turning on the mega-donors, lobbyists and corporations that fund and control the Democratic Party. The effort to wrest the party back from the hands of corporations and oligarchs will be vicious and difficult. It will require us to rely on the power of mass movements to sever these bonds. Nothing else will work. If we fail, our anemic democracy will not be saved by these midterm elections, but doomed.

Israel’s $3.8 BILLION annual aid is only the tip of the iceberg. $471.97 BILLION in direct U.S. support to Isræl through 2025. Military aid. Wartime operations. Israeli bonds. Israeli charities. Federal grants. Follow the money. Read the full investigation and examine the receipts. ⤵️

Strangely, most Americans haven’t accepted this as fact!
Sorry to rain on the parade, but shifting from the red capitalist party to the blue capitalist party simply ensures that the source of our problems, capitalism, remains unthreatened.

I wonder who will win the US Elections. Red or Blue?

Democrats will win big tonight then give their own voters the middle finger by appointing Hakeem Jeffries as Speaker and Chuck Schumer as Leader, and nothing will fundamentally change. This is how the duopoly works, which is why we need to topple the system.

say hello to the new Speaker of the House of Representatives Hakeem Jeffries aka AIPAC Shakur, who has already received the endorsement of AOCIA and Zohran Mamdani: "Israel today, Israel tomorrow, Israel forever!"

Big Sergei 😂 Mr Diplomacy…
A reporter at Lavrov's press conference in New Delhi kept talking on his phone. Lavrov asked him to leave, twice. He didn't move. "Guys, take him out of here," Lavrov told his staff. Then he turned back to the reporter: "If you don't surrender your phone, they will take out a gun, you know." The room laughed. Lavrov waited a moment and said: "Let's try that again." He is number one😂

This is why so many people hate cops. Hopefully he was identified and is no longer on the force.
And why exactly do the police deserve any support from the public? They need reminding of the purpose of the role they undertook and more over they are PERSONALLY laible for everything they do and what they fail to do. If I was this CHILD's dad that copper would be in court!

I followed this wise man today, and honestly, u should too. The way he dismantles Israel’s carefully manufactured image and puts into words what so many are afraid to say is an absolute art form. Every word hits. Go give him a follow @BenMoser123

I hate to write this but if Calmac cant get on the ball and he cant go with runners when teams attack us, then is he only on the pitch to tell Scales where he should be passing it? He's nowhere near as influencial as he used to be and its causing us problems. Particularly today

They used an incorrect image where Maguires left knee wasn’t ahead. Even just look at Estevaos right arm and you can see the image isn’t correct.

NURSE…. !!! 💉
melaniephillips.substack.com… Whether motivated by hatred of National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir or corrupt funding by Qatar, the huge mobilisation of Israeli Arabs at this election was the democratic version of the “Al-Aqsa Flood” of October 7. In both Israel and the West, public bamboozlement is so great that deliriously energised Islamists believe they’re now within sight of victory over both. To prevent that, governments in Israel, Britain and America need to wake up to the jihadi threat they are facing.

You maintain Israel is a democracy. Arab Israeli’s voted in the ‘democratic’ election & you frame it as a ‘jihadist threat’. You are a racist & kinda prove that Zionism is racism. This is where fundamentalism, of all stripes, takes us.

And 40 years later, Thatcher destroyed it……
Clement Attlee founded the NHS, built record numbers of council houses, nationalised Housing, Power, Rail, Energy, Steel, Fossil Fuel and employed more than 2m people in 5 years all with the greatest debt the UK had ever had. And the economy boomed and debt fell.

Lovely sentiment….. #PatrickStewart
In 1987, Patrick Stewart refused to unpack his suitcase for six straight weeks. My throat still tightens every time I read why. Every Hollywood insider told the 47-year-old British stage actor that Star Trek: The Next Generation would be a disaster. Even his closest friend, Ian McKellen, begged him not to throw away his Shakespearean career on a television gamble. Stewart kept his bags packed by the door, waiting to be fired and sent home to London. That "six-week failure" lasted 36 years. Watching him late at night here in Japan, we saw something Hollywood never expected. In Japan, we call this quiet, unbreakable spirit "Fudoshin," an immovable heart under fire. Most action heroes scream and fire weapons to look strong. Captain Picard never needed to raise his voice. Born into deep poverty in Yorkshire, terrified of a violent home, he left school at age 15 and lost all his hair by 19, convinced his life as an actor was over before it began. Yet one English teacher, Cecil Dormand, handed that frightened 12-year-old boy a copy of Shakespeare, said "Read it out loud," and secretly paid for his first drama course. Never forget what happened decades later. On the morning Queen Elizabeth II knighted him as Sir Patrick Stewart, he invited that same retired schoolteacher to sit beside him at his knighthood luncheon. No suitcase left unpacked. No rage on the bridge. Just a cup of Earl Grey tea, a tug of his uniform, and three quiet words that commanded the galaxy: "Make it so." He passed away at 86 surrounded by live music, prayer, tears, and laughter. And this December, in Avengers: Doomsday, Professor X will grace the screen one final time. A boy who thought he wouldn't last six weeks in Hollywood gave the world an eternity of nobility. From Japan, with tears and our deepest salute: Thank you, Captain. Engage. ✨🖖🇯🇵
