Remember that “well-known” individual who was seeking a High Court injunction to stop ITN and The Guardian from naming him and publishing serious claims about his conduct over several years, including sexual misconduct? His lawyers argue publication could devastate him, citing two alleged suicide attempts, one in May and then again in July, on that occasion escaping from secure hospital to do so. But the media’s barrister says the allegations are credible, supported by more than 30 first-hand sources, and strongly in the public interest. The judge warned that allowing threats of suicide to prevent publication could set a precedent with almost limitless consequences. The individual denies the allegations. The case continues.

My dad lived in shared accommodation as a kid in the late 1940’s , the neighbours owned chickens and a cockerel. He says going the outside loo in the night he’d have the door shut and a cockerel screaming and scratching outside trying to get in. Traumatised for life!

Found 6 commemorative 50p's today. The two top tier finds are a 2003 commemoration of the (terrorist) suffragette movement and a 2011 London olympics athletics. The athletics looks like a kid designed it because it was designed by a kid! It was a Blue Peter competition winner.
