[KOR / ENG] @Nawashi_Kazami 선생님과 @RatedJMA 함께한 워크샵에 다녀왔습니다. 📍 NEW MA 첫인상 밝고 깔끔한 공간에 은은한 조명과 초록 식물들이 어우러져 무척 따뜻한 분위기였습니다. 수업 전 미리 도착해 벽면을 채운 다양한 휩(Whip)들도 구경하고, 오랜만에 들은 크래킹 소리가 정말 인상적이었습니다. 🪢 워크샵 후기 적은 수의 줄로 나누는 깊은 교감과 플레이에 대한 수업이었습니다. 기초가 더 필요하다는 생각에 망설이기도 했지만, 마침 겹친 서울 일정 덕분에 참석하길 정말 잘했다는 생각이 듭니다. 안전과 존중을 최우선으로 하면서도 유쾌함을 잃지 않는 선생님의 방식이 무척 새롭고 즐거웠습니다. 특정 유파에 갇히기보다 다양한 방식을 제 스타일로 흡수하며, 안전과 존중을 바탕으로 저만의 답을 찾아나가 보려 합니다. 귀한 가르침 감사합니다. Attended the workshop by @Nawashi_Kazami at @RatedJMA . 📍 First Impressions of NEW MA The space was bright, clean, and warm, with soft lighting and lush greenery. Arriving early gave me a chance to admire the impressive collection of whips on the wall, and the sound of cracking—which I haven't heard in a while—was truly memorable. 🪢 Workshop Insights The session focused on deep connection and play using only a few ropes. I hesitated at first, feeling I still needed to work on my basics, but I’m so glad I made it thanks to my schedule in Seoul. I loved the teacher’s approach—prioritizing safety and respect while keeping the atmosphere light and enjoyable. Rather than being confined to a specific school, I plan to absorb various styles and find my own path grounded in safety and respect. Thank you for the invaluable teachings.

[KOR / ENG] 저번에 시간이 부족해서 마무리하지 못했던 로프 관리를 다시 했다. 버닝부터 왁스 관리까지 전체적으로 한 번 더 손봤는데, 보풀이 많이 정리된 것 같아서 만족스럽다. 버니복에 보풀이 많이 묻을까 봐 신경 쓰였는데, 이제는 편하게 사용해도 될 것 같은 느낌이다. Went back to finish the rope maintenance I couldn’t complete last time due to lack of time. I went through everything again, from burning to wax treatment, and I’m quite happy with how much of the fuzz has been reduced. I was a bit concerned about lint transferring onto the bunny outfit, but now it feels like it’s good to use without worrying too much.

[KOR / ENG] Rope Art Archive: B-cut 🪢 스튜디오 구조상 프레임 안으로 다른 컨셉 공간이 계속 들어와서, 현장에 있던 소품들을 최대한 활용해 시선을 분산시키는 방향으로 풀어냈습니다. 완성 결과에는 아쉬움이 남지만, 그 순간순간 즉흥적으로 대응하고 호흡을 맞춰가는 과정 자체가 참 즐거웠던 날. — Due to the studio’s layout, other themed areas kept creeping into the frame. We improvised using on-site props to redirect the viewer’s focus. [KOR / ENG] 스네이크휩이 한국에 도착했다는 트래킹 업데이트. 이제 곧 받아볼 수 있을 것 같다. 처음 의뢰했던 톤에서 중간에 조금 더 밝게 포인트를 조정했는데, 실물이 어떻게 나왔을지 궁금해진다. Tracking update — the snake whip has arrived in Korea. Should be able to receive it soon. I made a small adjustment along the way, slightly brightening the accents from the original concept. [KOR / ENG] 간단히 줄관리하려다 3시간 반 정도의 시간이 정말 순식간에 지나갔다. 줄을 만질 때마다 선배 리거분들이 얼마나 대단한지 새삼 느끼게 된다. 매번. 오늘은 시간이 조금 늦어져서 마무리를 완벽하게 하진 못한 것 같아 아쉽지만, 다음에 다시 한 번 차분하게 관리해봐야겠다. Spent about three and a half hours maintaining ropes, and time just flew by. Every time I handle ropes, I’m reminded how impressive riggers really are. Every single time. I ran a bit late today, so I couldn’t finish everything as perfectly as I wanted, but I guess I’ll take my time and go through it again next time.

[KOR / ENG] 저번 주에 주문한 스네이크휩이 제작 중이다. 조금 더 내가 원하는 스타일과 느낌에 맞추고 싶어서 직접 주문 제작을 맡겼다. 예쁘게 완성되길 기대해본다. 블랙 베이스에 퍼플, 버건디, 골드 베이지를 살짝 섞어서 너무 무겁지 않게 균형을 잡아봤다. 90cm 컴팩트한 길이로 좁은 공간에서도 다루기 좋게, 15cm 정도의 스티프 핸들로 컨트롤을 조금 더 안정적으로. 크래커 없이, 부담을 줄이고 보다 안정적인 터치에 집중하는 방향으로. The snake whip I ordered last week is currently being made. I decided to go with a custom order to better match the style and feeling I’m looking for. Looking forward to how it turns out. A black base with subtle touches of purple, burgundy, and gold beige to keep it refined without feeling too heavy. Kept it compact at 90cm for better handling in smaller spaces, with a 15cm stiff handle for more precise control. [KOR / ENG / 中文] 어제는 대만에서 온 분들과 짧은 교류 시간을 가질 기회가 있었습니다. 대만과 한국의 BDSM 커뮤니티 환경과 문화에 대해서도 여러 이야기를 나눌 수 있었습니다. 특히 인상 깊었던 점은 대만 커뮤니티가 비교적 오픈되어 있고 기반이 잘 형성되어 있다는 부분이었습니다. 대학교에도 관련 동아리가 있을 정도로 활동이 활발하고, 강연이나 행사 등을 통해 안전 교육이나 돔/섭 관계에 대한 이야기들이 자연스럽게 공유된다고 했습니다. 또 SM Bar나 행사 정보를 정리한 웹사이트가 있어 커뮤니티 활동이나 방문, 행사 참여 등이 비교적 체계적으로 이루어진다는 점도 흥미로웠습니다. 대만에서는 취향이나 플레이의 컨셉이 조금 더 세분화되어 있다는 이야기도 인상적이었습니다. 그만큼 다양한 취향과 수요가 존재한다는 의미이기도 하겠다는 생각이 들었습니다. 짧은 시간이었지만 로프에 대한 작은 교류도 있었습니다. 실크 로프로 가볍게 묶어보며 서로의 매듭 방식이나 생각들을 이야기할 수 있는 시간이었습니다. 이번에는 시간이 충분하지 않아 많은 시도를 해보지는 못했지만, 다음에 기회가 된다면 조금 더 여유 있게 교류해 보고 싶다는 이야기도 나눴습니다. 서로 다른 환경에서 활동하는 사람들과 이야기를 나누며 새로운 시각을 얻을 수 있었던 의미 있는 시간이었습니다. 무엇보다 좋은 분들을 만나 교류할 수 있었던 점이 개인적으로도 기쁜 순간이었습니다. 이것은 저에게 의미 있는 교류의 시간이었습니다. 앞으로 다시 만날 기회가 있기를 바랍니다. Yesterday I had the opportunity to spend some time exchanging experiences with visitors from Taiwan. We talked about the differences between the BDSM communities and environments in Taiwan and Korea. One thing that impressed me was how open and well-established the community in Taiwan seems to be. I heard that some universities even have BDSM clubs, and that lectures and events are often organized where people can learn about safety, D/s relationships, and other aspects of the community. It was also interesting to learn that there are websites listing SM bars and events, making it easier for people to find gatherings or apply to visit certain venues. Another point that stood out was that in Taiwan, preferences and play styles are often divided into more specific concepts. It gave me the impression that there is a wide range of interests and active demand within the community. We also had a small rope exchange. Nothing intense — just a light session using silk ropes — but we were able to share ideas about tying styles and knots. We didn’t have enough time to explore more this time, but we talked about hopefully having another opportunity in the future to spend more time and try different things together. Even though it was a short meeting, it was meaningful to gain new perspectives by talking with people from a different environment. Most of all, I was happy to meet kind people and make new connections. It was a meaningful exchange. [Kor / Eng] 연습하면서 제가 직접 겪었던 실수들을 가볍게 정리해봅니다. 누군가를 가르치기보다는, 시행착오 속에서 배운 것들을 기록해두는 마음에 가깝습니다. 1. 불균형한 텐션 특정 줄에만 압박이 쏠리면 버니가 큰 통증을 느낍니다. 줄이 여러 번 겹칠 경우 손으로 정리하며 전체적으로 고른 텐션을 유지하는 과정은 필수적입니다. 2. 끝선 관리 매듭을 만드는 도중 로프 끝의 텐션을 놓치면 전체 고정력이 떨어집니다. 다른 선을 정리하다 보면 두 번째 감은 줄이 느슨해지기 쉬우므로, 한 손으로 텐션을 유지하는 습관이 필요합니다. 3. 매듭의 완성도 매듭이 크거나 느슨하면 하중이 걸릴 때 점점 조여지면서 구조 전체의 텐션이 미묘하게 변할 수 있습니다. 작고 단단하게, 마찰을 활용해 마무리하는 것이 안정적입니다. 4. 정확한 위치 상대를 불편하게 할까 봐 지나치게 조심하면 오히려 줄이 정확한 위치에 자리 잡지 못할 수 있습니다. 특히 가슴줄처럼 민감한 부위는 안전을 위해 정확한 위치 조정이 필요합니다. (다만 익숙하지 않은 상대라면 언제나 조심과 존중이 우선이라고 생각합니다.) 5. 교감의 중요성 묶는 행위 자체에만 집중하면 상대의 호흡과 컨디션을 놓치기 쉽습니다. 본디지는 기술이지만, 결국 리거와 버니가 선을 통해 호흡을 맞춰가는 과정이라고 느낍니다. 모든 것은 충분한 대화에서 시작된다고 생각합니다. — Some lessons I’ve learned through practice and trial and error. Not instructions — just reflections from my own experience. 1. Uneven Tension Uneven pressure can create painful pressure points. When lines overlap, adjusting them to maintain even tension is essential. 2. Losing Tension on the Tail If tension is lost on the tail while tying, the overall structure becomes less secure. The second wrap can loosen easily, so keeping tension with one hand is important. 3. Knot Integrity If a knot is left loose or bulky, it may cinch down under load. As it tightens, the overall tension can shift and slightly loosen the structure. Small, firm knots finished with friction tend to be more stable. 4. Precise Placement Being overly hesitant can lead to improper placement — especially in sensitive areas like chest harnesses. If you’re afraid to adjust properly, the rope may not sit where it needs to for safety. (Of course, when tying someone who is not an established partner, caution and respect should always come first.) 5. Connection Focusing only on technique makes it easy to miss your partner’s condition. Shibari is technical, but it is also about how the rigger and the bunny connect and communicate through the rope. Everything begins with clear communication.
