The Raspberry Worm by Andrew Lang The story focuses on two girls, Lisa and Aina, who save a worm from a raspberry, showing kindness instead of following their brother Otto's suggestion to kill it. The girls later journey to a vast raspberry forest, get lost, and receive aid from the Raspberry King. As a token of gratitude for saving his life, the King, who transforms into a worm once every hundred years, presents the girls and Otto with gifts, while their sister finds ample raspberries for jam-making at home. This story provides valuable lessons on empathy, respect for all living beings, and the importance of understanding one's actions' consequences. It offers a creative context for introducing students to the concept of transformation in mythology, the principle of cause and effect in real-world scenarios, and promotes resourcefulness and bravery in unfamiliar situations. #childrensbooks #stories #readaloud #literacy #kidsbooks
