Lots of queries.. So my Answer 👇 #Nifty can touch 7700 level & 7300 is the 1st strong support according to my analysis and after that super strong level on charts is near 5500. Index investors, use these levels wisely & buy only in major dips. Note*:- Invest at your own risk

The increase in the number of traders on MCX (commodities) is interesting. While the number of equity F&O traders has declined from 1.06 crore in FY25 to 85 lakh in FY26, the number of commodity traders has increased from 13 lakh to almost 21 lakh. I think this coincides with the growth of options trading on MCX. I also wonder how much of this is because of the heightened volatility in commodities like crude, natural gas, gold, and silver, and brokers pushing commodity options more after equity markets close. MCX trading continues until almost midnight.🙂

CDSL reported 23.7% YoY revenue growth to ₹395 crore in Q2FY27, with net profit rising 24% to ₹173 crore. EBITDA reached ₹229 crore, while margins improved from 56% to 58%. The company also added around 75 lakh demat accounts during the quarter, with assets under custody crossing ₹89 lakh crore. Beyond the quarterly financials, the developments on the investment side are also relevant. CDSL has increased its investment in India International Bullion Holding IFSC Ltd (IIBHL), partly to support IT infrastructure development. It has also invested in ONDC, the digital commerce initiative backed by the Commerce Ministry’s DPIIT. Separately, its insurance repository subsidiary Centrico has entered into a software development partnership with Shoveltech, which operates in the health-tech space. These may not be connected projects, but they indicate that CDSL is exploring opportunities beyond its traditional depository business. The core business continues to benefit from growing market participation. Whether these investments develop into meaningful additional capabilities and commercially viable businesses remains to be seen. For now, the financial performance provides a useful starting point, but execution will matter just as much. economictimes.indiatimes.com…

India's development journey cannot be understood without recognising the transformation taking place in rural communities. The World Bank's October 2026 India Poverty & Equity Brief highlights faster poverty reduction in rural areas as a significant contributor to narrowing the country's rural-urban welfare divide. By 2023, poverty at the $4.20/day threshold stood at 19.3% in rural India, compared with 8.6% in urban India. While the gap remains, the report identifies substantial progress across both regions. One of the particularly encouraging developments is the increasing participation of rural women in paid employment. When more individuals contribute to household earnings, families can become better equipped to improve their consumption and manage economic vulnerabilities. Combined with expanded social transfers and other economic opportunities, these developments have supported broader poverty reduction. Between 2011 and 2023, nearly 50 crore Indians moved above the lower-middle-income poverty threshold. India's development story is not simply being written in its major cities. It is also being shaped by the improving economic circumstances of millions of rural households.

Across Zerodha, here’s roughly the percentage of individual traders who are profitable: - Futures: ≈50% - Option sellers: ≈40% - Option buyers: ≈10% - MTF: too early to tell, considering it’s a new product One of the unintended consequences of increasing STT and all the other measures to curb F&O speculation is that they may have pushed traders toward even riskier trading behaviour. Yes, in theory, losses from buying options are limited to the premium paid. But buying options repeatedly, more often than not, ends with traders losing more money over time than trading futures or selling options. This is not to say that trading futures or selling options is low-risk. It’s a relative comparison. There are a few reasons why options buying has become so popular. Most traders don’t realise this, but STT is already one of their largest costs. As STT on futures increased steadily over the years, trading activity migrated from futures to options. Today, options are about 90% of all F&O trading activity. At the same time, larger contract sizes have made trading futures and selling options more expensive in terms of the margin required. Buying options, on the other hand, is cheaper because it only requires the premium. Hence, more retail traders are buying options. The other big factor is weekly expiries. Earlier, traders mostly traded monthly expiries. As more contracts started expiring every week, trading effectively became 0-day options. Traders began thinking in days rather than weeks and betting on price moves over increasingly short horizons. All of these factors have also led to significant growth in MTF, or margin trading facility. With MTF, traders can borrow against eligible stocks and hold positions for extended periods. But MTF is long only. The intent behind increasing STT, contract sizes, and all the other measures may have been to discourage speculation. The unintended consequence has been traders moving to riskier options trades. This isn’t just about F&O, by the way. These measures also explain the spectacular increase in crypto F&O volumes. Crypto F&O exists in a grey zone where it’s neither legal nor illegal, and traders can get as much as 100x to 300x leverage on many of these contracts. In the last couple of weeks alone, I’ve come across multiple new platforms advertising crypto F&O contracts, including perpetual futures, none of which are regulated. That’s another unintended consequence of these regulatory measures. The larger point I’m making is that any regulatory or taxation change has second- and third-order effects. These changes fundamentally alter market structure, and not always for the better, as the recent measures show. The risks always show up in the most unexpected places. And they show up especially in market phases like this one, when markets fall or trade sideways, and liquidity starts to evaporate. That shows up as wider spreads, higher impact costs, and a further drop in trading volumes. This is perhaps one of the biggest challenges in regulating markets. Indian markets are no longer a backwater, the recent bear phase notwithstanding. We need careful thinking about second- and third-order effects, and thoughtful regulatory design and calibration.

After spending years in the markets, one thing becomes clear: making profits matters, but managing losses matters just as much. Even when you have a solid trading setup, a few bad decisions can affect your overall P&L more than you realise. I was checking the revamped Trading Insights on @Upstox, and the “Areas to work upon” section stood out to me. It helps you see which trading patterns may be hurting your performance and where you could improve, based on your past trades. Sometimes, it’s not about finding more winning trades. It’s about understanding the mistakes you keep repeating and learning to avoid them. #TradingPsychology #RiskManagement #Upstoxhaitohbetterhai #Upstox

Gold prices in India seem to be falling and it's now fallen 20% from the Jan 2026 peak, even after the govt increased duty from 6% to 15% in May. In fact, it's lower than pre-duty May prices now. Just be aware that gold has long periods of no returns (or negative returns)
