Coming out with the unpopular opinion: I will live without your comments/kudos when ao3 is down. If you have my stuff downloaded, you can share it. If you tell me you liked it, that’s nice, if not have fun!!

damn. eddie loves buck. like have you thought about it? romantic/platonic distinction aside, he LOVES buck. unconditionally. no matter how messy it is or how hard it is to express it sometimes. he loves buck. he cannot see his life without buck.

the fact that buck said “i’ve been WITH you through most of them” and not “i've been there FOR you” because it's not just about being there to support eddie, it's about having lived through all of it TOGETHER

this argument was a long winded way of buck saying “you’re not his father” and eddie saying “well neither are you right now” and buck saying “because i’m not and i shouldn’t be” and it all being interpreted in the wrong way

do you think when Eddie said "he needs a father" Buck heard "he needs Not You" even though Eddie meant "he needs you to Be his father"

btw it's not a matter of Buck not trusting Eddie (even if Eddie might take it that way) it's a matter of Buck not trusting himself, and that getting in the way of him *hearing* Eddie
