Yesterday, I received a security notification from Apple warning me that my iPhone had been targeted by a sophisticated mercenary spyware attack, involving technology of the kind developed by companies such as NSO Group, the Israeli firm behind the notorious Pegasus spyware.
Perhaps the most alarming aspect of Apple’s warning was its confirmation that such attacks target specific individuals “because of who you are or what you do.”
This is not the first time I have been targeted by spyware. I was previously targeted with Pegasus in both 2017 and 2021.
I do not yet know who is behind this latest attack, or whether it is connected to my investigative documentary, The Trap, which I directed and co-produced. The film, available on Al Jazeera 360, exposed the details of the September 2024 pager explosions in Lebanon.
What is certain, however, is that the targeting of journalists with sophisticated spyware poses a grave threat to press freedom, the confidentiality of journalistic sources, and the very foundations of independent investigative journalism.

Hello @NetflixIndia the next time you want to name a reporter character Sandhya, show her uncovering illegal sand mining, create a Tamil villain, and pick bits & pieces from MY real life story which was pitched to you TWICE in 2022 and 2023, AND not give me any credit at the least.... Think hard and well.
Thankfully it was a supremely crappy movie with ham performances and @ParineetiChopra was nothing like me. In fact she was nothing like any reporter & the newsroom portrayal was idiotic & amateurish. You've been clever enough to try & escape a lawsuit by altering the story enough.
You owe me a public apology at the very least but I'm certain you have no moral fibre in you to do so.
Shame on you all, especially the director-writer Dhruv Tripathi. Stealing other people's hard work and making money sneakily out of it.

Dear Mrs. Sitarama,
1.Which "legal and commercial matter" required Tata Trusts and Tata Sons to be hosted at Amit Shah's residence?
2.When is crony number 1 going to appear in the game and which pieces of Tata is he going to get?
Finally, all India's businesses except 3-4 of your cronies, already hate all of you and don't need any incitement.
Being the LoP @RahulGandhi, I suggest you refrain from politicising every issue. Also, casually labelling commercial and legal matters as criminal is unacceptable.
You have repeatedly decried the successes of Indian industry & our entrepreneurs. Now, are you trying to incite our business leaders to join you in spreading distrust & toxicity?
For decades, your party had smothered the spirit of the Indian entrepreneurs under the stifling ‘Licence-Quota Raj’ & inflicted poverty on crores of Indians.
On the other hand, our government led by PM @narendramodi values the Indian industry as job creators & drivers of economic growth. Our policies have been tailored to enable enterprise, support industry and encourage investment.
Political parties, leaders, governments and institutions share an equal responsibility to support our industry, strengthen our farmers and secure the future of our youth.
Therefore, it is essential to engage constructively rather than casting baseless aspersions to suit your narrow political motives.
The Constitution of India ensures justice to all its citizens & our Honourable Courts are entrusted with upholding it. History is witness to the shoddy manner in which you, your party and the PMs belonging to your party have demeaned the judiciary.
So Rahul ji, refrain from seeing ghosts everywhere.

Corporate greed is Microsoft making $134 billion in profits last year, receiving $19 billion in tax breaks under Trump, paying a lower federal income tax rate than a nurse and getting rid of 60,000 workers.
“Corporations will create jobs if they get tax breaks” is a total scam.

The sea is all we have in Mumbai. It's the only third space where families can congregate without tearing their wallets.
This government, its crony cabal of industrialists is so anti-poor! Had it not been for the nationalist project, we'd have heads rolling by now.

The condition is so pathetic at the border and the Home Minister thought that it'll be a fantastic idea to bring back the Indo Tibetan Border Police into Delhi to beat up student protesters 😭
How long will our PM behave like a coward?
India needs a strong PM. Fed up of this.
#BREAKING Locals have begun filming the areas occupied by the Chinese PLA in Xangnan - which India calls "Arunachal Pradesh".
Indian Army troops simply abandoned their posts and fled!
Modi's response? Shut down Internet in "Arunachal"!!

Nike no se bajó del barco durante su larga lesión de rodilla. Al contrario, la marca apostó por visibilizar su proceso de recuperación, humanizando a la estrella. Volver a verla en lo más alto es el broche de oro perfecto a esa narrativa de superación.
