every big tech company will need to have their own agent because no one is going to allow another company’s agent behind their wall. but no one wants to have 20 different agents, so who is going to build the agent that manages all these other agents?
you really believe that ai can solve navier-stokes and another 100 long standing math problems, but solving alignment is totally intractable?

i met kimbal in 2015. tall guy wearing a cowboy hat with a south african accent, who said he had a family office. we got to talking and it turned out he was a big fan of our newsletter. i was on crunches from knee surgery, and at the end of the event as i was waiting for my uber he offered me a ride home. i politely declined.
few weeks later i saw an article mentioning him as kimbal musk.
he was very polite and engaged, and from then on i always had a very positive opinion of the musk family.
in three years math will be in a golden age and this panic will look silly in retrospect
