my idea about platonic representation hypothesis is that basically images are another kind of language, so multimodal convergence isn't totally crazy. im out of my depth here but this is what i'm looking at for fun these days so bear with me. its ya boi

if you aggregate lab tokenizers (Google, DeepSeek, Meta, Anthropic, etc) and select for the subset of tokens that always exist [including *across model generations* for Anthropic], you get about 994 tokens that are ~always dedicated tokens under BPE-likes they look like this
